Title says it all. I really don’t care about the rifle itself. Is the lower a 6920? Serial number I’m looking at starts with LE49xxx

Thanks

If it’s what you’re asking about, I have three Colt 6920s and had a 6940 whose serial numbers all start with “LE”. There are, however, six numerals following the letters, including zeroes. They date from 2005 to 2018, and the serial number of the one I purchased from CDNN in February 2018 is LE55xxxx.

Thanks SF. I think you answered my question. I’ve read some of the work by others that indicated Some of the Colt Expanse rifles we’re built off of a 6920 lower, and some off of the lowers of others that were stamped Colt.

I want the lower only for a clone MK18 mod0 project.

So I was just trying to grab up a little intel before buying it

FYI
The first link to Surplus Ammo is a Colt Sporting Rifle and not a true Colt, it’s made under license by a company in Texas, that info is on the right side. Those S/N’s prefix is CSR

I bought one a few years ago and had trouble SBR-ing it because of that. It has the Colt roll mark & Colt info on the left side but the NFA agent was very helpful and among other info, told me that Colt never produced a billet lower, which that is.
It is a very good quality lower and I was disappointed to discover it isn’t a true Colt but went ahead and SBR’d it anyway.
