When did they start to offer the lowers?

I remember when they started the upper deal years ago, though I am not sure if it has been available to the whole time since or not.
Then a couple weeks ago my buddy mentioned the upper deal and I said I wish they offered a lower. I really wanted a full LaRue rifle and did not really feel like slapping someone else’s lower on especially since you got every other part.
He told me they were and I was pretty surprised as I know in the past it was not something they offered.

Now that this is ordered if they would just get a move on and start releases or at least orders for the Siete.

I purchased an upper & lower from them in 5.56 before they had the lowers available to purchase separately.

I was also considering a 7.62 at the time, but wanted to do more research on LaRue's offering. Does anyone know if their BCG is proprietary to their 7.62 upper and which Magpul magazines will fit their lower?

It seems they only offer one type of lower now. Earlier this year, they had 2 different lowers to choose from, which confused me. I have read the 2 magazine deal from LaRue was a decent price at $99 with the upper purchase, but I'd like to load up on Magpul mags if the option is available...cheaper.

Checking my old emails, Black, they started offering lowers on May 1, 2020.

That sounds about right based on a conversation I had with Sigolicious on this subject regarding a lower. Sounds like the M110 is all they are offering now. But I could be wrong as I am not an expert on what LaRue has. The M110 is the only option on their order spec sheet though.
So this lower takes the propriety LaRue Mags?

Yes, Old Rugged, I think that is correct. I bought my large frame upper a couple of years ago. At that time you had a choice in what upper you could purchase - one that matched with LaRue's lower receiver and one that matched an Aeroprecision style receiver. I opted for the latter for two reasons. One, I lived in MA at the time and couldn't take delivery of a LaRue receiver (laws are pretty messed up in MA). Also, knew when I moved I could find an Aeroprecision stripped lower for less money. But honestly, although the upper does work with my Aeroprecision lower, aesthetically it doesn't look great. I think they subsequently eliminated this choice, in part because people were not happy with how uppers were mating with non-LaRue stripped lowers.

Finally, a quick shout out to LaRue. When I bought the upper I couldn't also order a suppressor at the reduced price. (Again, no suppressors in MA). After I moved (about 18 months later) I contacted them, explained my situation, and asked if I could still buy a suppressor at the lower price. They said OK.

I bought mine same day they offered the lowers in May of this year. I held off on the upper until July. I’m super happy with the value and quality I got.

My upper build kit arrived on Friday so just a hair over 2 months. Well worth the wait for a $1k full LaRue rifle.
I went with the PedatAR 18” barrel to save weight as I have a 16” Heavy barrel on another rifle and it can get a little heavy. I don’t see myself doing any long strings of fire with this gun to worry about loosing accuracy.
Though the gun kind of looks like it missed a few leg days. I have built a bunch of rifles before this and it is certainly the best fitting rifle to date. All the pins and everything just slid right into place with no effort.
LaRue has started charging $99 for upper assembly but still at $1100 I am not sure you can beat it.

Their suppressor mount is pretty big so that kind of adds to it.
May swap to something different. Not sure I’ll buy their can. Their muzzle device was the only option for their build.

The ultimate upper kits are a screaming deal but I really wish they would offer it with an A2 or just a thread protector for $99 less.

Dammit, I come in here....And now I REALLY want one of those, along with a Larue Billet Lower of course! Cool

Can anyone confirm the length of the Gas System(s) in the 18", 16" & 14.5" Uppers?

Also, it seems there are NO options other than Barrel Contour/Barrel Length for 5.56. Has it always been 'build it exactly like this' for the Ultimate Upper Kit, or is this the only configuration available right now based on component availability? Really just wondering about Handguard length here...

Input from those in the know would be greatly appreciated! Wink

I ordered one with the stealth barrel on 1/11/21 I added a part to the order and asked if they had a current lead time. They said roughly six months.

Buddy ordered one with the predatar barrel on 1/6/21 and it arrived last Wednesday.

They quoted me 4-6 months when I ordered mine and it only took two.
So hopefully they are still inflating the lead time.

My buddy ordered one took it to a gunsmith to have a different muzzle device pinned and welded a couple weeks back.
The gunsmith set up his equipment wrong and destroyed the barrel.
LaRue said 6 months for a new barrel alone.

Oh good lord! I can't believe I missed this until now.

Screamin' deal. I am highly tempted to get one in 300 BLK, but I really wish they had sub-12" options for the 300.

I picked up a predatar last year for an awesome price, so it was a no brainer to do one of these as well. Aesthetically I don’t care for the stock and grip, but after using them I really like the feel.

Now if I could just find a used lt104 mount for a good price I will be set.

Just got my 12" in the mail. They said 6 months and it took a little over 1 I think. Got the matching lower. Haven't put everything together yet, but I wanted to make a premium blaster for the misses.
