No, not really. I did a lightweight build with an adjustable block and took all the weights out of a buffer so it is hollow and weighs an ounce.

At some point, you want some weight for inertia to help slam the BCG back into place under harsh conditions (for a build where reliability matters)...but carbine buffers work just fine in military M4s so you are GTG.

You’re right, H is the M4 weight, my bad. I’d still go carbine with an adjustable block and maybe a lighter weight BCG since the point of the adjustment is to tune the system.

The AR I bet my life on has an LMT 10.5” barrel and an H2.
