Swamp Fox 1-8x Scopes
I have been trying to investigate the Riton 1-8 scope.
34mm tube,Japanese made, supposed to be made with a thicker tube wall dia.

after a lot of consideration, I went with a US Optics TS6x with the simple crosshairs/red dot reticle. Price was well within my budget and I am putting it on an ADM Scout.
Well, good luck to me. Smile

Congrats, let us know how it works out for you.

I'm not 100% sure, but from what I've seen about the TS-line on Sniper Hide, they are Asian made (China / PI).

I can only say that the company states that they are made in north Carolina.
I started reading about USO after I Googled US Made rifle scopes. The Ts6x was listed.

I hope you are wrong this time. Smile

Well honestly I hope I'm wrong, but let us know how it turns out!

Absolutely. It was delivered today. I forgot to look on the unit and/or box to see where it was made. Back to you later.

Nothing on the box or manual says where it was manufactured. But, I hve never looked through glass this nice.

Great, looking forward to a review when you have more time behind it at the range!

The simple crosshair with red dot. Nothing fancy and not busy at all. So far, it is very quick to put the dot on the target. Of course, that would be my puppies at 10 - 15 feet.

Well, I found out by looking at an introduction video that the TS6x and TS8x in all reticle configurations are made in a foreign country.
The marketing director did not say which country.
I own it and will live with it.

Sorry brother - use it, shoot it, and I'm sure it'll be fine.

I just like truth in advertising. I have a Romeo 5 made in China, Burris & Vortex made in the PI, and Nightforce made in Japan (NX8) & USA (NXS 2.5-10x24).

It's commonly accepted that even optics "Made in the USA" (NF, Leupold, Vortex) use a good number of foreign parts - typically from Japan for high end scopes.

To me when a company DOESN'T put country of manufacture on a product, its a sure sign it was likely made somewhere that doesn't fit their branding - ie US Optics made in China / PI / etc doesn't exactly make a nice tag line.

Anyway, let us know how it works for you! Shoot it !!!

My feelings exactly. I still would have purchased it if I knew it was made in Japan, though. Veery nice glass makers.
I just had my hopes up. ( snowflake sob)

So it appears nobody here has actually used the Tomahawk, so I'll report on it.

A buddy has one that I shot last weekend, 1-8x24 with the Guerrilla Cross reticle. We shot 50 yards or so with 300BO suppressed. It had beautifully clear glass and I was in the X-ring at this distance.

It appears to me to be to really good quality. I liked it so much that I bought one for myself.

It has an etched SFP reticle and comes with a mount, but I will switch it out to a PEPR QD mount, because I prefer QD mounts on my optics.

Unfortunately for the most part until you cross near a thousand dollars in price, everything will be foreign ( mostly china) made.

I have several vortex products and have been very satisfied.

I recently had to return some binoculars under warranty- dropped them and the ocular cracked off. Easiest most efficient warranty ever! Email company, less than 24 hours shipping label in my inbox. Ship it off, e mail confirmed it arrived and is being assessed. 3 days Later email stating shipping back to you. Note inside found not to be repairable, here is a new set. All total less than 2 weeks start to finish
