Does the brain trust think it would it be possible to have an AR built in .454 Casull?

I have no idea if you could do it, but WOW what a piece.
Please let us know if you do by way of pics and range reports.
That would be a rocka-rolla!

I don't know if i've ever seen a rimmed cartridge chambered in an AR. Most of the big-bore cartridges for ARs are rebated rim, and rifle cases rimless. Could pose a problem in making one.

A lever action .454 Casull would be very cool. If you're looking for a shoulder-buster in an AR platform, check out Alexander Arm's .50 Beowulf.

A buddy rebarreled an old Ruger #3 to .454 Casull with a fairly light 20" barrel. Total package can't weigh 6.5 pounds max. FACTORY ammo is IMHO like shooting hot .45-70 ammo in a Marlin Guide gun...it aint fun.

And my 350 gr elk busters for my Freedom Arms REALLY get Your attention. Hell of an idea though!!

I'd like to see a lever gun in .500 S&W.

As far as a .454 in an AR, it just ain't gonna happen. The rimmed cartridge presents serious feeding issues that you just don't want to deal with.

450 Bushmaster is probably the closest to the power level and trajectory of a 454 Casull

A buddy of mine has a Browning 1885 in 454 Casull. It is one really awsome hunting rifle.
He also has a Puma in 454. He says it is a decent rifle, but nowhere as accurate and fun to shoot as the Browning is.

I believe Wild West Guns did one, but I can't seem to find it on their site now.

Can you elaborate on the issues with the rimmed case?

BTW, the reason I'm asking is a friend shoots a .454 Casul handgun cannon and was looking to add an equally monsterous calibre AR upper. We discussed the .50 Beowulf, the .450 Bushy, and the .458 SOCOM, but I have the idea that an upper in .454 Casull, if one is possible, would simplify his ammunition needs.
