No not mine but a good friend finally got his tax stamp and took possession of his the other day.

He brought it by today and it was quiet the kit.
His has the 45 ACP and 9 mm bbls, trunnions, bolts and other necessary conversion parts.
Two 45ACP 'grease gun' mags, two Suomi 9 mm drums plus a 9mm stick mag.
Noise suppressor, VFG, rails, bipod, tools and a nice carry case for everything were included.
All for just over $9000 but he waited almost a year to get his tax stamp (Applied 11/'16 and rifle was waiting at the FFL since last January).

He is pissing his pants to try it but has to go out of town tonight.
Might be able to go to another friends farm up North and see how it works this weekend or next.
Will try to take some pics if we go.

I just got mine a week ago too and I'm in the same boat as your friend. Finally going to get to shoot it this weekend though. Big Grin

My stamps came through in 6 months! I was amazed. Sounds like it's starting to speed up.

I had 2 Stemple 76/45's years ago. I got one of my stamps in 30 days back then. They were fun but one showed cracks in the receiver tube and we were always repairing extractors.

Also, the trigger pull was 18 pounds until I modified it and got it down to about 12.

We had a lot of fun with the things. I had a counterweight made to replace the barrel nut and it added about 4 pounds to the front end of the gun. You could about write your name with the thing.

Naturally, I sold them right before the prices skyrocketed!

Receiver tube being the registered part, correct?
My friend explained that he was told the tube should never wear out.
Perhaps the guy making them now (in GA) has redesigned some internal parts to reduce stress on the tube.

Being a blow back design, what was the issue with the extractors?

Trigger pull on his is nowhere near as heavy as yours.
We didn't measure it but after a little lube, I would hazard a guess it was less than an 8 lb pull.
The sliding lever to go from safe to semi-auto to auto IS a real bitch to move on his, however.

We couldn't get out last weekend but might next.
I'll advise my friend of your experience and have him keep an eye on those things.

I don't even know what configuration the guns you have are in, so take that into consideration of my response. I had the original Stemple 76/45.

As far as I know, the tube IS the gun so the current iterations should be the same as the older ones since no new ones can be made. Which is to say I think the new ones have other accessories {for lack of a better term} hung on them but the basic gun is the same. So triggers and stocks and whatnot can be different, even feed mechanisms and pretty much everything except the tube.

I can't answer your question as to WHY, just that I eventually ordered a bunch of extractors direct from john Stemple and other parts and kept the gun going. A friend of mine had one and he never had any problems with his and he shot his more than I shot mine.

The tube was very thin, and the barrel seat or whatever you call it was simply welded to the tube with a fine bead. It's been years now but we had a bunch of trouble. I had two but only shot one.

I kept them for a few years and had one with me on the ranch and as a "truck gun" in the pickup all the time till I almost drove across the state line one day and suddenly got cold feet having the damn thing with me since I live pretty close to the line. So it went into the safe and I decided to part with them since.....I got tired of buying ammo, too!! LOL.

Mine was FA only. No frills, just a .45 squirt gun. When it ran, it was a hoot and holler of fun.
