We got two rifles for tomorrow night now!

Nen is going to ensure his NV camera is charged and I am going to use his rig to video shooting also so you can see how the camera based system works if you are on a budget.

This is Nen's rig I made for him.

I fabricated a camera to Weaver mount for the Picatinny rail. The T20-850nm ir light is not in the picture, but it clamps onto the laser.

Bucket o' Rats from chicken coop. Some by handgun, some by shovel, many by "Lady the Rat Destroyer". IIRC 14 in total. It was a daylight operation, got them all.

years ago, ao slow nights, coppers from various jurisdictions would show up at the county dump, pull out their .22 pistols, light 'em up with their spotlights, and have at 'em. Periodically, somebody would get a call, have to leave, and after an hour or so, the rats still owned the dump, numbers considerably reduced.

I now have changed one of the setups to a quick release system so I can change out from NV scope to a light and laser.

Red light and green laser with pads, light up the little bastard, laser the vermin and pop. They seem to not to be able to see the red light very well and you can walk up to them. They sure as hell can see the laser and just sit stunned until you pop them.

This is for close in work you can't do with the scope as it hits 3" low any further in than 50 feet. And just fun as hell. It's like being the rat terminator.

I welded two pieces of u channel together and drilled a hole in the bottom. I used the camera screw through a nut in the mount to hold it onto the tripod. I used a pair of adjustable wrenches to bend the sides outward to allow for the rifle to fit loosely into the channel.

Then took a piece of leather and glued it onto the U channel to cushion.

ahh, so the gun isn't actually attached to the tripod.

I've seen still photos and thought the gun was attached.

They make a tripod clamp for an AR, but it is expensive.

if need be get a muffler or hose clamp put a rubber or plastic hose over it ,

like the clamps used on the old school spotting scope setups,
will not mar the rifle if you do it right,
