Please forgive an AK noob question: What's the difference between Warsaw and NATO stock sets?
Thanks,

RMD

NOT a typo. But it does have replacement furniture too. It came for $499 with used plum colored warsaw length buttstock. Bulgy kit, NoDak Spud receiver, well put together, then bead blasted and parkerized....then shipped out. I wanted an ATV/Ranch rifle that would get beaten up a bit. So it was perfect for me.

TGI and Aim Surplus still have them for $499.
They also have a $599 model built by "In Range" that is finished better, gun koted, and has new plum furniture. They do good work.

In reality...my $499 gun is accurate, well made and will probably last as long as any of them.

BUT....the SAIGA's ARE surely a step UP in quality. If a guy wants a nice example...the SAIGA's are probably the way to go.

So what's the difference between the SGL20 and the SGL21? The Arsenal website says the SGL20 is out of production, but the specs are the same, and both use Russian receivers. I'm confused.

Alpine,

I'm 50% sure the differrence is one has the bayonet lug...the other does not. Again...I'm NOT 100% sure.

Recall reading a similar thread over on one of the AK forums before I ordered my SGL 21 last week.

$300.00-$500.00?

The SGL20 has a bayonet lug and no accessory lug, while the SGL21 has both. The arrow in triangle and receiver lettering is different, brasscatcher's 5th from the bottom post: When was the last time that SGL20/21 sold for $500?.

The SGL21 has a Russian FSB, while the SGL20's is Bulgarian iirc. Page 7 of theakforum thread above shows a Russian and Bulgarian FSB, member nexus/mk.7's post in / around the middle of the page.

The only real difference is price. Everything else has nothing at all to do with function or reliability.

Is someone holding a gun to your head? probably not. MOVE out of CT!! Problem solved.

I got so tired of Anti Gun New Jersey that I moved out in 1979. And... thirty years later I do NOT regret it.

Yeah but NJ is even worse then CT! Smile Although my parents just bought a house in GA a few months back and my dad wants me to move there but he is a control freak sooooo. We stopped there for about 3 days on our way to Florida during our motorcycle cross country trip and that's all he lasted before he got too mad at me to even talk to me. 3 Days! Maybe just buy a nice small house for $50k in GA and call it good! Smile
