business is brisk at the Las Vegas warehouse..., from theakforum kvar board:

"I mean seriously? is there some kind of back door phone number where someone actually answers????????? "

"well when I got through the woman on the other end said it was a mad house. They had over 700 rifles to ship and it was all hands on deck from the sounds of it. She said my best bet would be to enter my order online, and they would contact me if my FFL wasn't on file."

"well, I will conceed that I probably jumped the gun here. Sure I tried to call 10 or 15 times today with no answer, but once I got an answer I knew by the womans voice they were busy."

Small heads up, Atlantic Firearms is following the same deal, but I'm not sure what their reputation is.

Is it possible to buy a wood stock set that is compatible with the SGL-21? I didn't see any wood on the site so I figured I'd ask b/c my end all would be to replace the plum with some wood.

Arsenal rifles seem cheap right now? I'm not surprised since Vartan screwed a lot of old friends and dedicated AK collectors on an offering (different model than this gent is selling), including me. Here's a link about it:

Has anyone ever shot or handled one of these rifles?

If not, there will be soon!

Atlantic Firearms is very good to deal with.

i'm not a fan of them. anyone remember the 1k krink kits and the 40-45 bulgy waffle mags.?

another company came in and all the sudden the mags were 10.00! and the bulgy kits from the other company were 250.00! now i know everyone has to make a buck and i don't mind that.
i do mind 750.00!

how about all these guys in the last couple months that bought these rifles and now have 400 difference in price. hurry up buy them now they are limmited amount of these. how many times have i heard that.

i have been collecting and using ak's for 20+ years and i avoid them.
these are just my opinions on this and we all have ours. Roll Eyes

Do CHECK...but I think they add 3% if you use a credit card!! Not a ton of money but 3% all the same. A deal breaker for me.

I wish I could justify another AK that is 7.62mm, now if they had their 5.45mm on sale I would jump all over that like a mad man.

True - Atlantic adds 3% for CC. They're a good dealer though.

Despite not really 'needing' another 7.62 AK, I couldn't pass this sexy Russian up. Plum on the way. Smile

Maybe we'll see another price drop then and I will actually be able to afford one. Big Grin

Prices are going up--only the black ones are still $499. However, the railed ones are back now.

Atlantic firearms still has the plum ones for $505 (now $529 at KVAR), so I ordered from them. they actually answered their phone the third time I tried to get through. they also hold the rifle so you can send a money order and avoid the CC fee. Nice.

I also see that the price on the OD NATO stock SGL-21s went up $35 since yesterday - glad i bought one then.

I also had to buy a couple of matching mags, based somewhat on the hilarity of their ad:

By the way, has anyone used these "Malaysian" OD handguards from Cope's?

Picked up my SAIGA SGL-21-72 this afternoon. NATO length stock, in PLUM.

It looks very nice. I was unaware it had the scope mount on the left of the rcvr. Nice bonus.

While I was at my Dealer met a guy who bought basically the same gun four months back...and paid $900 !!! He was pretty deflated when I mentioned it was $505.

Anyone on the fence about these SAIGA's you better jump and order whatever you want. I don't think this is going to last more than a few more weeks...if even that long.

I'm HAPPY.

They're gorgeous, Frank. Bad ass AKs.

Got mine today, too. No cant, perfect finish and crisp trigger. It's all good!

My FFL had one from this summer at $900. He was bummed.

Get some!
