Any good source for .357 Sig ammo? Looking for 1000 rounds. Ammoman had some a while ago for $400 I think, but they are out of that price product now. Any input? Thanks for any info.

Good luck finding factory 357 Sig for less than $500 shipped. If you are willing to wait, I think Georgia Arms still has Canned Heat for $300/ 1K.

Thanks, that is a great price. I have never bought from GA before. I will use this ammo for practice shooting only. Is GA ammo fairly good quality---not too dirty etc? Thanks.

Hi Fish,
Let me assure you that Georgia Arms is FANTASTIC ammo for practice, and many of the members here trust the JHP's from GA for self defense rounds. It is clean, safe, reliable, and goes bang every time. I have had ZERO issues with mine, and have order 2000 rounds of 125 grain 357 sig FMJ. It's great stuff and you will not be disappointed, especially for the price. |

I have shot over 3000 rounds of GAA canned heat 357SIG out of my P229. And there is still part of one 500 round can left. The only time I did not is when I got some Lawman cheap and also when GAA had the 250 round bulk boxes of frangibles for dirt cheap. No issues ever.

Thanks for the info. I'll put in an order with GA. I am almost out of my CCI Blazer ammo I bought several years ago. Time to renew the stash.

Brand new, name brand 357Sig ammo is readily available for $0.35 to $0.40 a round on Gun Broker. I don't see the sellers asking more completing many sales.

I'm sorry but my link above doesn't work as I wanted it to. Just go to www.gunbroker.com and click on pistol under Ammunition from the homepage. Then insert 357 sig into the category search window and look at what comes up. The seller in Hamilton Ohio has been selling 1000 rounds of Speer Lawman for $350.00 ($0.35/round) or 500 rounds for $185.00 ($0.37/round) for a long time and must have a warehouse full. Today I bought 800 rounds of Speer Lawman for $320.00 ($0.40/round) from a local seller.
I really like the 357Sig round and often find it cheaper to shoot than my P220 in 45acp. Even though many think 357Sig is too expensive to shoot. I don't sell ammo anywhere and have no stake in anyone else buying or selling ammo of any kind. I'm just showing other current and potential 357Sig owners what I do for good priced ammo. Gun Broker is higher than heck.
http://www.gunbroker.com/Aucti...m.asp?Item=139503740 1 case .357Sig 125Grain TMJ 500 rounds 357 $300.00 Plus Shipping / SPEER LAWMAN .357SIG 125GRAIN TOTAL METAL JACKET The guy from Ohio musta gone bust selling so cheap! I realize JHP ammo is up in cost, but a butt-busting $65.00 + shipping if you bid (or $95.00 if ya wanna BUY IT NOW) a box for CCI GD HP 9mm leaves me wanting to see the dude go broke -just for asking the price. ________________________________________________ If you are not in a big hurry, like Georgia Arms, the folks at PRECISION CARTRIDGE (not Precision Ammunition) are great. Been in busines a long time, excellent products and customer service. References you can actually VERIFY - they actually ANSWER their phones and their 357 SIG is sweet shooting and CLEAN. In my forever humble opinion of course. http://www.precisioncartridge.com/ "We specialize in Law Enforcement and Commercial sales!" No. No. I don't WORK for 'em - I BUY from 'em. Worth a look - keep an open mind or, the alternative - don't! 'Gun Control Does Not Mean Gun Registration' |

Holy shit! I haven't checked .357SIG prices since I started reloading. Maybe you should start looking into it? I reload it for about $7 per 50rnds.

Problem with reloading is locally (when I get home) I can't find a "hold your hand" class to assist in getting started. I'd love to reload - but again the help to get started is rare.
I'd hate to invest the bucks, only to find out I have too small an area in which to work etc. I saw a "reloading bench" in one of the propoganda gun mags -- crap it was $500.00 in parts and designed to be built by a freakin WOODWORKER. I know that's not typical - but then again - without a seasoned vet in reloading the gun shops can convince you of anything. One local shop told me I could get started for $150.00 ---- but never would show me how. Again, I'd love to do it; IF ....... 'Gun Control Does Not Mean Gun Registration' |

I learned reloading from the Lyman 49th Reloading Manual and mostly from....YOUTUBE! Believe me, there are some good, step by step videos on there. Many of them are press specific. As for the equipment and cost of getting started, check out the Reloading section. There are a couple of threads there where I listed my startup gear. I decided to think long term, so I went with quality more than cheap.
I live in an apartment, so I had to think carefully about my bench size. I went this the 2x4 Basics Bench Kit. You get the legs and all the screws. Then you can get some plywood and 2x4s cut to the exact size bench you want. My table is only 2' x 4'. I would like much bigger, but it is adequate. --- Grayguns P226R .357SIG -- P226 W.German -- 590A1 -- M4gery -- Ruger Mark III --- -- Fear is the mind-killer. I just ordered from Ammunition to Go and got Remington UMC 125gr FMJ for $23.95 per box of 50 rounds. That was the best deal I could find for practice ammo. I just ordered the Sig 229 .357 conversion barrel and needed some practice ammo.

The guy from Ohio on gunbroker still has 1000 rounds of Speer Lawman for $350.00. Every week he sells 1000 and within a day or so he's back with another 1000 rounds. Shipping is $18.00 to my zip code. At $0.368 delivered a round for factory fresh ammo that's as good as I've found in a long time. Cheaper than most shops 380 or .45acp.
