Not enough for when the zombies come Smile
9mm ball - 249 300
9mm JHP - 50
380 ball - 50
22LR - 550 530

Here's what I would feel comfortable with:
9mm ball - ~1500
9mm JHP - 250-500
380 ball - 500
380 JHP - 250
22LR - ~2500

I had enough to bend shelves, but my supply is diminishing. I didn't hoard ammo this time around with the inflated prices.

^ I have to think that the Walmarts or gun shops near Camp Pendleton and San Onofre have plenty of ammo for decent prices. After all we need to keep our troops & their families well supplied. . .

I'm not afraid of those who have thousands of rounds. I'm most afraid of those who have only 1.

I got 800 rounds of 9mm Federal Champion at Walmart, and 40 PDX1 JHP. All in 1 week ammo hunting at Walmart. I burned lots of gas though. It might be cheaper to buy it for $15/ box and get it shipped to my doorstep.

I like a reserve of 1,000 rounds per caliber:

.45 ACP 230 and hydroshock
9 mm 115 and hydroshock
38 sp
5.56 various
308 ball and "hunting"

... and for target shooting:

5,000 .22 LR SV Match
2,500 .45 LSWC 200 gr
1,000 .38 148 LHBWC

I use the active supply and when I break in to the reserve, I re-order to keep the level up.

Calibers I do not worry about due to low shooting volume are 45-70, .45 Long Colt, .380 and all types of shot shells.

Those with only 1 rnd are saving it for themselves when the SHTF. Be afraid of those with only 1 GUN and hundreds of rnds in ultra hi-cap mags (drums or bananas). . .

I have about 25,000 rds. in 5.56, .45, 9mm, 7.62X51, 12ga., 410ga. and getting ready to pick up 4,000 rds of 17 Mach 2.
This does not include my Military CS gas canisters, smoke (red, white, green), Parachute illumination, star clusters (red, green), 40mm grenade rds. or trip flares.
I use the term hoarder although I believe I'm just saving some for a rainy day.

You're either a hoarder or a nut. I'm not sure which though. Wink

Are you sure that you don't have 30284 rounds?

That information is classified. Moving is a real bitch too. The problem I have is finding surplus ammo cans. I even have a labeling system. Wink
