I might not have as much as some of you folks, but if you were wondering where all the ammo cans went:-) .........

(rounded, as I shoot and don't recount)
9mm @ just under 5,000 or so
.45 - 3,000
5.56 - 3,000
.308 - 4000
.22 - no clue, but enough to keep shooting for a while.
12 ga, plenty for birds, clays and some buckshot.

I don't have too much, two 50cal ammo cans full:

SIG Mosquito Two Tone
SIG P228 Two Tone
Next:

Yesterday I got 40 more 223 remmington rounds, and 50 124 grain 9mm Hydrashoks (+P+)

I also got some plastic cases to keep my 223 rem in. I usually keep most of my ammo in those cases even though I don't reload, it's handy for going to the range. I've had it start raining on me before so I had to pack up and run back since I forgot to bring a poncho or something for my range bag v_v

Absolutely...I picked up my AUG, P228, and Colt Gold Cup on the sole basis of having magazines on hand and needing the firearm to use them in. I've got a feeling I'll end up with a Barrett M82 in this same fashion.

I like the way you guys talk...

..................................................................................................................
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the galleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor - he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and wears their face and their garment, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation - he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city - he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared. ∑ Cicero, 42 B.C.

+1, except for my long guns. I only keep about 40 rounds for each caliber.

Let me tell you how bad the ammo shortage is: I just lent my local range 3,000 rounds of ball .45 ACP so they could keep their rental guns firing over the weekend.
