Took an AR course last summer, most of the guns ran wolf in their AR's. I asked to trade some of english radway green for it just to try it out. It work in my AR with no problems.

My cousin uses wolf 9mm in his glock without issues, however Ive never tried it in my HK or SIG.

Hell, I might have to look into some of this stuff. I usually only use it in my AK-74, but I think a Glock extractor is about $15, so maybe I'll have to test it out.

All the pistol stuff is noncorrosive, correct?

Don't shoot, I'm with the science team!

Correct, a bit dirty but non-corrosive.

Wolf 9 mm shoots as accurate as CCI Blazer alum.case does. It does smell funny. I shoot at an indoor range so it is noticeable. I haven't had any problems to speak of. It is dirtier than the CCI so I only will shoot a box or two of it at a time. Wolf 9 mm is the only Wolf I have tried so far.

In Armorer's school, Colt forbad it in AR15/M16's. Said it clogs gas system with carbon. Bushmaster no longer considers it OK in their weapons. They said it beats up chambers and is hard on extractors. Consider this: even soft steel is harder than the hardest brass. Will it work, sure and Wolf has steadily improved their product. Except for the steel cases, I wouldn't have a problem using it. I just do not care to put the extra wear and tear on my weapons. Big Grin FWIW

Yea? Prove it.

Show me the Rockwell hardness numbers (HRB) for, let's say, a Wolf 9mm steel case and a 9mm CCI Blazer brass case.

They "said". No one has ever offered or shown any valid proof of this, in this forum or AR15.com.

I have said it before and will say it again. If your weapon won't handle cheap or dirty "military" grade ammo, then you have the wrong weapon to defend your life with. Period.
My Colt and CMMG AR's eat anything. My Sig, Kimber and Glock eat anything. If it won't shoot Wolf, it gets traded.

My 2 cents.

I've run 500 rds thru my P226 with no problems other than it is dirty. Since I clean after each range session that is not a problem. I shoot it for the price. I got my last 500 rds at the link below and paid $106.37. I have a membership with Sportsman's Guide and renewed with this order and got free shipping. They also send coupons for $5 to $10 off so that makes this the cheapest site that I've found for range ammo.

+1. Any guns of mine that don't digest all sorts of ammo gets the boot.

Just thinking about it, the Wolf steel has to be softer than extractors and chambers in order for them the form the cases. In order to draw form the case, the steel has to be ductile and that means relatively soft, so it must be annealed.

I can't really see any harm, and I suspect other things would fail long before I'd see any effects caused by the steel case... except having more money.

I have not run a lot thru my M4 but I am happy with the groupings. I got about a 2 1/2 to 3 inch group at just over a hundred yards, prone using a scope. And it has been waaaaaaaay to long since I did serious shooting, the trigger needs some work/exercise and I didn't have a good rest.

Good enough for what I will want to do with it. Hit with a 55 grain JHP most things in this neck of the woods will go down.
