I was in Bass pro to pick up a new hat and I happend to walk to the gun area and looked at some ammo I acually saw some prices that made me want to puke WWB 45 ACP for 22.99 a box and 9mm for 16.99 a box, Remington 357 Sig for 26.99 a box.
We shoot alot of shotgun in this house at the clays range and in the field and just crap old dove and field loads (low end stuff) for 6.99 per box Wow....LOL. Hi prices like that is just one example of how out of line they are on just about everything they sell.

Yea, Bass Pro is a hit or miss when it comes to ammo prices. You've got to know what you're looking for price wise before you walk into that store... sometimes it's reasonable, sometimes it's not... sometimes their "specials" aren't that good either.

I haven't been to Bass Pro since we got a Gander Mt. I know they're probably in the same boat with hit and miss pricing... But the closest Bass Pro is in Nashville.

Their ammo prices are very high and definitely cannot compare to Walmart. But their prices on guns are comparable and in some cases, cheaper than other chains like Turner's and some local gun shops. Atleast the one in Rancho Cucamonga in which I assume you went to. I love BPS even just to hang out in with the family. But I also buy alot of fishing stuff there.

No Bass Pro close but the local Gander Mtn. is just about as high. I deal more with the local Sportsman Whse but there not much better on Ammo.
