Went there tues and the shelves were bare. I Heard the manager tell the sales clerk it had been 3 days since the last shipment so I asked when to expect the next one. He shrugged and said they don't get notice anymore but said be here before 7 AM. I stared at him and said WHAT? He said trust me be here before 7 AM. So I get there the next day at about 7:05 AM and there were 7 people in line as the lady clerk unloaded the cart. 6 box limit so I bought 6 boxes of 9mm Blazer brass for $8.97. Unfortunately no .45 and they commented it has been about a month since their last shipment of .45.
I ran to the car with my purchase and went to another Walmart and bought 2 boxes of 9mm 147 gr Winchester JHP....they had no Blazer or .45.
So the secret is get there at the crack of dawn if you want ammo from Wally World.....it sells REAL FAST.

When I got my 12 boxes the other day it was at about 11 in the morning on Monday (Memorial Day). He told me the shipment came in Sunday night. So I'll see you at Wally's next Monday at 7am!

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the galleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor - he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and wears their face and their garment, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation - he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city - he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared. ∑ Cicero, 42 B.C.

The last three times I have been in ~ the middle of the week ~ at different times of day > I always got ammo (Note: I only buy the Blazer Brass at WM). I haven't had much of a problem at all ~ no crack of dawn here. Big Grin

I've gone to the local Walmart the past three evenings after work to see what they might have. I got my limit of 6 boxes of 9 m/m ammo each evening including this evening. Things are looking up here. They were out of .40 but still had .45s on the shelves.

I applaud those who can get ammo "any time of day" but so far it has not worked here for at least 3 months. It sells far too fast and of late has not lasted past 9 or 10 AM if that long. So for me early works best and since I have not returned to work since my surgery it is not a problem. Now if they would just get some .45 in stock.....I will be a happy camper.

I think is random when they stock up the shelves, because the sporting goods clerk at my local Wally told me last Monday there would be a shipment of ammo coming in the next day, that I had to go there early, well, next day I show up at 6:45am and nothing, so on my way home after work, around 3:30pm I went by again with no hope of finding any ammo, to my surprise there were 40 boxes of Blazer Brass 9mm so I got my six and hoped there would be some left over for the next day, no luck, they sold all 40 boxes in about one hour, I guess I hit it at the right time....
oh, and then I pointed out to the clerk that it has been a while since they had any 380acp and he asked me how much I wanted and If I was willing to pay $40 for WWB 100 rd. box, and of course I said, hell yeah!!!! I'll pay $40 for a hundred and to get me as much as he can lay his hand on considering last gun show I went to the Blazer Brass 380 50 rd count were going for $65
each, YES, $65.... But he hasn't got back to me on that one yet, so my P232 is still thirsty..
I'll let you know if he does come thru......
No 45 here either....

For me I have found that morning is generally best but yesterday I stopped by the local Walmart on the way home from work and found that there was a full shelf of Brass Blazers for 9MM and .40 and bought six 9MM. The clerk told me that they just came in and the shelf was stocked about an hour before I got there.

So I stopped by this morning to see if there were any left and there was but then I noticed a small stack of boxes with Winchester labels that must have come in last night. Well 1 case was for WWB .45 230G FMJ 100 ct Valu Pak and 2 each for 9MM and .40 . I bought the whole case of .45 which contained 5 boxes and 1 9MM 100 ct Valu Pak.

I just went back a little while ago with my son for him to get some 9MM and everything was gone again.

I am seeing a lot of .22 550 packs for Federal and Remington at various Walmarts of the 38G hollow points.

Are the Wal-Mart stores in your areas getting any .40 in something other than 180gr? The two stores in my town are getting 180gr Blazer Brass but nothing else.

I have often seen the WWB 100 ct Valu Paks of .40 in 165GR for around $28. Those used to not sell out as fast but lately .40 has been going fast also.

My local Wally Mart said the the ammo comes in about 10:30 pm and can sell when open at 7am. He said you could try to call the night before while the night workers might still be there and may have unpacked the ammo so you will know if the 7am show time is worth it.

I have noticed that the stores around here that get 9 m/m ammo in are not getting much .40 and the ones that do get the .40 don't get much of the 9 m/m. The only .40 that I have seen are bb 180.

Huh, that's weird. This whole time I thought the secret was "tipping" the guy at the ammo counter with a twenty.

Weird..... Confused

Morning, morning, morning...

Due to I drive around town all day for work, I'm in 2 to 3 Walmart a day.

Best time is in the morning. Period...

By noon your too late.

I score once and a while. .45 is in stock less. Sure notice that .40 was always in stock during the beginning of the year, but not anymore.

380 is still the hardest to find.
A friend found .380 at a gun shop today. Will only sell you 2 50rd boxes at $40.00 each WOW.

Twice in the last two weeks my local WM had lots of BB 9MM late in the afternoon.
First time they had 4-5K. I have plenty so I just grabbed two boxes for the heck of it.
I also picked up some BB 9 & .40 last week from a WM on the far side of town.
The shelves did not have any pistol ammo but the clerk had both under the counter behind a door where you could not see it. I bought two boxes of each.
This was around 10:00am.

The last two times I went to the WM nearest my office, they had 9mm Blazer Brass for $8.97 a box. Given what the online dealers are doing to 9mm prices right now, I'll just get 6 boxes every time they have it in stock.

Seeing similar here. Is the Blazer any good? I always just got the WW Box at Wally World.

And to think, I used to turn up my nose at WWB, and only got Gold Dots/Golden Saber, etc.!

Wal Mart gets its ammo on contract (x amount of ammo every month). My local gets it all at the 1st of the month. Some get there ammo in seperate shipments but most right at the first of the month or a few days before or after.
