Paid a visit to wally world on the way home tonight. Was looking to see if they carried CCI Blazer and at what price. Well it turns out (according to the employee working the ammo station) that no WalMarts in the entire area carry that ammo... Which is freaking weird since it is made right next door in Lewiston, ID...

Anyways...

So looking around I noticed that Winchester White Box 9mm is only $18.42 for 100 round boxes.

Is this something I should be buying up? Bulk storage? Any complaints from users here about the performance of this ammo? I honestly have no idea.

It's good ammo for target practice. Back when it was 8.99 a few years ago it was all i used.

That's their regular price. I would buy what you need to shoot of it. Sometimes better deals come along though. It's not a stock up price by any means.

Wow, only $185/1K, and some people say it doesn;t pay to reload 9mm. Eek

IF YOU AREN'T HANDLOADING, YOU AREN'T SHOOTING ENOUGH! If you could make your own gas, wouldn't you???

I have to side with fredj338, if you shoot more than 500 rounds a month of a specific caliber then reloading is the way to go. I can reload all my pistol and rifle calibers, but now being old and mostly lazy, I prefer to purchase my ammo.

WWB from Wal-Mart is pretty much all I use for the range, unless I can find something else on sale. It's the cheapest brass cased ammo I've found.

Any walmart I've been to that sells WWB, also sells Blazer Brass. I prefer the latter, as it's usually slightly cheaper and shoots cleaner.

Some people don't like it, but it's been flawless for me in .45 - that WWB stuff is funky.

Clean or dirty...what does it matter? I clean my weapons meticulously even after just having them stored for some time without shooting. I've never understood why "it's cleaner" has always been such a big issue to many.

WTF??? You've got to be kidding right? That's laughable! You mean to tell me that breathing "less" lead is good for you? It's f***ing lead! Poison is poison! You shoot, you breathe it, REGARDLESS of the amount. Don't forget that some smokers indulge in their filthy habit for a year and then get lung cancer and die after only a few months of being diagnosed; some smoke for decades without so much as the slightest health issue. So now what?

I hope you shoot outdoors and with other "clean ammo" shooters only. Second hand ammo smoke kills more Americans than lead.Wink
