When you activate a notification, does it go to your display e-mail or the account used for signing up?

Is account activation the only notification, or are there others?

I had a bluebottle account to sign up with when those accounts were free, then I didn't want to pay to continue service, because I didn't need it, etc..., so the account I signed up with is no longer valid.

I do have another email listed, I just want to make sure I'm not missing any other notifications.

The OP is referring to notifications from "subscribed" threads. If you subscribe to a thread, you are notified of new postings.

However, if your email address of record is no longer valid, then obviously you wouldn't receive such notification.

You can update your email address in your profile.

Just don't use a hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail account (and a few others), as those have been banned due to repeated trolling from accounts based there.
