I get warnings that this site isn't secure. I see the the https does not show in the web address box. Has this always been the case? What gives?
If you have concerns about the security of this site, I suggest you don't visit it.

Yes, this has always been the case.
There's no need for Sigforum to use a secure login, since there's no personal or financial information that's stored or transmitted.
The worst that someone could snag by spying on your forum login traffic is your forum username and password. Just make sure you're not reusing the same username and password across multiple websites, especially sharing passwords with something important like your email account, online banking website, etc.

One thing you can do to remove the warnings is to "whitelist" the site on your browser or whatever program is giving you the warning.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
