When is it proper to start a new classified ad? If an add goes stale (4-5 pages back) with no interest from buyers, is it acceptable to let it "die" and start a new classified post with new items for sale ?? Thanks for the guidance, Steve

Re- edit your ad with the new items. Post in the thread to bump it.

4-5 pages back, isn't dead. The classifieds move very fast.

All members are allowed one active for sale, and one active want to buy ad.

Can we request to have ads locked? I'd rather sell a few items at a time, then start up a new ad. I'd rather not have an ad locked and deleted because someone asked a question in an older ad where all the items are sold.

Thanks

If you would like an ad locked, email me. I will happily lock your old worn out ad so that you might start anew.

That's what I was looking for. When the time comes, I will send you an e-mail & have the old ad locked. Thanks!

I asked a similar question here which never got answered (towards the end of the thread)...

http://sigforum.com/eve/forums...=827108711#827108711

I asked there because I was under the impression that we were not to edit our ads just in case there is an issue between buyer/seller.

In the future, I'll do as you suggest (locking) before starting another.

Forum blog features to look for on the next software upgrade?

Thread starter can lock thread?

Enforce syntax on thread title.. WTS/WTT/WTB?

Only two active threads from member per forum?

Let the computer do the repetitive stuff and you mods can enjoy the place more ?

Just thinking out loud..

I had an ad for a 220, it sold. I was going to edit the ad "sold" and start another ad/thread. You're saying I should edit the 220 thread, which will mean changing the title and all? Sorry for the confusion on my part.
