I have a Photobucket account, but can't seem to get my image for my avatar. Says it's not accessible. Help? In English please. Thanks.

add a square parentheses [ and ] at each end, paste it into the avatar box and it should look like this:

I've tried that also. It says the URL is invalid. I've done this on other forums without any problem. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I go to my personal and click on edit profile, then go down to avatar and click edit, then to custom avatar. Paste the IMG code and click update.
I can get it here, but not for my avatar.

Did you remember to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the 'Submit' button?

Don't put img or /img surrounded by [] at the beginning or end of the url tag, respectively.

OK, Pasted that in and hit Select this one instead of update avatar. It says it's been updated or whatever. Then I hit submit.
Still no go.

Give it about 10-15 minutes. The forum software cycles at about that interval, if I remember correctly, avatars don't always show up immediately, I seem to remember that when I changed my avatar to the one I'm using it didn't show up right away.
