There are quite a few free sites that you can use to resize images. Some are easier than others to use. I just went through this last week.

I used picasion.com for my avatar image.

Beware of a man whose only pistol is a 1911, he's probably very good with it.

I played with it a bit, but California is so long that you have to make the image quite small to fit on a single screen. How small do you want it?
