After a several months absence I returned earlier this Summer to being a more regular customer of the site.
Upon my return, I discovered that any discussion of gun prices met with stern warnings from the webmaster that "price checks were prohibited." I mainly look at the handgun site I thought this was a dumb rule, but it's not my personal site and not my place to complain. Lately, I'm happy to see that they seem to have returned. Are they OK again? Not complaining, just wondering ... Joe |

If it's not your place to complain, then why are you doing so? Because that's what you just did. |

Yes you can post a 'price check' but unless it's something uber-rare/exotic, PLEASE do a search of the million other price checks FIRST, as someone has probably asked about it before you.
Assuming it's too much to ask that you <GASP> research other means (auction sites, online dealers, locally). |

If I were actually complaining, I would have done so directly - while I did not see the logic
in the rule I did not ask that it be changed. Like many, I am familiar with the usual resources available for determining value. I actually prefer to use them as I always learn something new in the process. However, I may need to seek the advice of the site's members at some time in the future and wanted to know the boundries. I try to keep current with the rules and want to be a respectful member. Hence my question. |

About 6 weeks or so ago we went back to the old ways and price checks are allowed once again. -------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm a regular Claire Voyant without the dress. |
