I'd say 24 hours is an expected maximum timeframe to secure a sale and payment. If I don't get good communication within that time I'm taking the second bidder and alerting Para.

Around here, an "I'll take it" is looked upon the same as a man looking you in the eye and shaking your hand on a deal. It's the gold standard.

24 hours isn't feasible if the buyer doesn't use Paypal. I refuse to use it, preferring USPS money order, certified bank check or good ol' cash. I think payment within 7 days is generally acceptable as long as there is good communication between buyer and seller. Payment should be prompt, no excuses. Shipping should be prompt, no excuses.

To be clear, I was not saying "receive" payment in 24 hours, I was saying communication after an "I'll take it" to make arrangement for payment.
