Man, I'm bummed. I got all excited to see the course and since it's only about 5 hours driving there, thought "No prob." Problem is that I get done teaching a Simunition/Force-on-Force/Active Shooter Class on the 16th. Would have to bust a move overnight to attend the prep course on Friday. I'd be pretty bleery by o'dark thirty Friday. I'd also be more susceptible to buying things (my wife sez I) do (n't) need . . .

Maybe I can find a way to host Bruce up here. Better yet, I should see if the instructor association would host Bruce and the crew at Yakima during training our conference.

Morris, If you'd like you can still take Saturday and Sunday. Saturday morning will be a compressed Friday, as to everyone is not making Friday, just to keep everyone up to speed. Jones

Those attending the low light package will also need to bring along a handheld flashlight, of their chosing. If you wish to run a weapons mounted light and train with it, you will also have the opportunity. We will cover different methods to use flashlight/pistol, flashlight/carbine, weapon mounted pistol light, carbine mounted light, or any combination of the above.

I will also try to sneak out some night vision to play with in conjunction with optics.

no Frown

We discovered that I need a DPSST number first and I don't have one. It takes 1 month or so to get one so there was no way I could make the class. I just carry a large flash light and an ASP so can put a whoopin' on those who mouth off to me.

Fellas, is there anyone interested in purchasing Blue Force Gear (Vickers CAS) or ATS tactical gear webgear at the course? I can offer decent pricing on both. I have been running ATS's stuff for a short time and really like it. It is built well, and made here in the USA. I have to know in advance, to ensure I can get it in for you.

I spoke with Torie last week regarding meals. Breakfast is available at the diner next to the hotel. While, lunch will be at the range and prepared by the same folks who prepared lunch during Gun Camp.

You can expect the following:

Normal High: 67°F
Normal Low: 37°F
Normal Average: 52°F

Bring pants and jackets. I'd come ready for a bit of light snow and wind cold as a well digger's farts. That time last year there was ice on the passes until about 10am each day, so caution will be prudent.

GGI should be moved in to the new shop by then and we should be able to house everybody locally so that nobody has to make the drive over any passes daily.
