Range "opens" at 09:00. I say we either meet up near your place SC, by 07:15 and leave by 07:45, or meet up at that Flying J just off the exit at say 08:30 and we can be at the gate when it opens.

Let's see how attendance is.

The pool/grill/picnic facility at SC's friend's house where we went after the July shoot was very nice. I'd like to bring some ribs for us all if others could bring the accompaniements. I'll need a headcount by Thursday noon.

1= Buster
2= SC
3= Mars
More?

I'll edit this post to keep a tally as I see responses in the thread. My ribs (well, not mine, but the ones I cook) are quite edible, so don't miss the chance.

Ray, glad to hear your healing:
1. Too late for stitches.
2. Stitches by their very nature cause damage, not the best solution for finger tips sometimes.
My left hand has two fingers that had stiches, both over a decade old. Both have visible scars, and each scar has the tell tales signs of stitching. Butterfly closures can work wonders, if you can get them to stay.
BTW food processor blades are very sharp.
Same with professional grade spatulas used for cooking pancakes and QuarterPounders, wait for it...
with cheese.

Yah! I was like, maybe I should go to the hospital, but my Q-tip/medical tape contraption worked well enough to allow the thumb to heal itself. I'm fortunate, the scar is right on a wrinkle on the knuckle of my thumb so it's not very visible... not that I care, the rest of my body has enough scars from motorcycles and what not.

you've been cut by a spatula? that sounds blunt and painful.

you up for a carpool this time detroit?

Buster, you bake your ribs first, then finish them on the grill?

Well, the rib recipe is a Deep, Dark secret - having something to do with Norwegian virgins and a special old Creole sauce made from ingredients which are illegal in several countries. Suffice it to say that the ribs will only need to be heated up a bit when we get to the picnic location.

I just woke up... it's too early to be reading about virgins from norwegia in Creole sauce.

Reelay, will you join us for lunch?
I'll take you home if Mark can't.
And of you need a ride, park your car at my house.
I'm not that far up the road from you.

Well, we don't actually mix the Norwegian virgins with the Creole sauce. They're separate parts of the process, but each has its role to play in making the ribs "exquisite."

C'mon now, guys, I need at least a probable head count by noon tomorrow. Is it going to be just me and SC? I won't mind if you "sign up" and then can't make it but I hate to guess at these things. Marzy? You really don't want to miss these ribs!

Besides, rounding up Norwegian virgins is a bit of a problem these days.

Very doubtful for the dinner. I'm just hoping at this point that I will still be able to make the shoot.

I won't be able to make lunch, maybe next month. I will be organizing for school this weekend!

Looks like I will have to beg off. I have an afternoon commitment and I am still trying to go through vids and pics (~20 gigs worth). I do have TWO pieces (well actually four, with two or three more on the way) off that stuff we shot at a while back. SC I will give you a call later today maybe.

Frown Sorry, guys, I've just had an "issue" come up at work that will require I work on Sat. and miss the shoot & picnic. Frown

I'll keep looking for Norwegian virgins so we can have the ribs next month, maybe.

Hope you all have fun!

OK then, this month is a bust.
I'll attend the gunshow with my brothers.

I'll plan one for September.
But it's gotta be the 13 or earlier.
I have to help my in-laws move the rest of this month.

Dam,
Looks like my first participation is a bust, but perhapse for the better so I can bring my grill also nextime.

Where is the Gun Show?
I'm a new owner of a P220 and am looking for an IWB holster.

What are the odds I can ditch the wait of ordering online, and picking up something quality at the show?

The shoot is still on if weather holds.

If my older brother don't show for the show, then I'll go shooting.
