We had such a fantastic time at Morro Bay that we're excited to host another class in Sunny San Diego.

This class will expand upon the skills introduced in the Practical Fundamentals Course. Key elements of the curriculum will review and reinforce fundamental skills and core techniques as well as introduce proven training drills to maximize marksmanship and develop the proficiencies critical for competition shooting.

Location:
Project 2000 Shooting Range
2082 Willow Glen Drive
El Cajon, CA 92019
The shooting club has a website www.p2krange.com

Dates/Time:
The weekend of Oct 31 - Nov. 1, 2009.

I would think we would be shooting from 0800 hours until the range closes at 1700 hours on Saturday. The range opens at 0900 hours on Sunday. We put out a lot of information, especially on the first day, and you’ll need time to digest it.

We’re also hoping to spend time with you, away from the range, over food and drink…hint hint .

The requirements of this course will be:
Service Pistol 9mm preferred (just from a cost point, .40 or .45 welcome)
• KYDEX holster, no radical cants NO EXCEPTIONS. Bruce does not allow nylon, leather, and shoulder or leg holsters. (This is done for uniformity)
• we use only factory ammo (No HOLLOW POINT, +P or magnum ammo allowed)
• Plenty of magazines
• Wraparound Eye and hearing protection. Electronic hearing protectors are recommended, but not mandatory.
• Cleaning & maintenance supplies
• Please bring plenty of water
• Bring plenty of sunscreen and a big hat of sorts to protect you from the sun.
• Recommend: Jeans, BDUs or canvas type pants. No sandals or "tank tops" are allowed.

Please contact Mayer Tenenhaus at m.tenenhaus@sbcglobal.net to confirm ASAP. Space is very limited to encourage personalized attention.

I'll post more information soon with regard to cost etc.

I just got off the phone with Bruce and we're both really looking foward to this class.

The basic philosophy of the class is to develop and reinforce proven fundamentals and apply them to a variety of presentations and applications....with a real emphasis on fun.

The cost of the class is going to be $185/day plus we'll have to prorate /divide the range use fees among the students. I'm negotiating to try and keep this as low as possible.

Knowing Bruce and Randy, this should be a blast.

We're getting a great response, we're now up to 8:
Baja Traveler
Manny
Rolf
Mayer
Linda
Lloyd
Shawna
Bob

I'll bring the candy corn and Smarties. (Beki, always the spoiler, will bring apples.) I do plan on working the halloween theme a bit...our focus will be on fun, and the object of this class will be to apply our skills to a wider variety of targets and scenarios. We'll ding some steel and run around like maniacs a bit. Mayer, Randy and I will confer and develop a detailed plan to present here very soon. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Wow! Sounds like the class is filling up fast!
With Bruce at the helm, it is sure to be another fun class.

As Bruce has mentioned, once he and I can get away from our respective benches, we will discuss what kind of reactive targets and other goodies we might bring to the range.

Last year's class was fantastic, and it will be great to see all of you again.

Hi,

Here’s the latest information on the class. As a result of the incredible interest we received for this class, Bruce and Randy were kind enough to add another day……Friday Oct. 30, 2009 to the curriculum. This introductory/refinement option affords those interested further opportunity to receive some more personalized instruction on the finer skills of gun handling and helps to bring everyone up to speed to
participate over the weekend. Please let us know as soon as possible if you’re planning to participate on Friday.

Bruce and Randy were also kind enough to include the following discounts of 10% off for all Alumni of any GGI course as well as 10% off for paying in full 30-days prior to the first day of the course.

The fee schedule will be $200/day plus range fees (we’re estimating something like $20/day for range fees)……..so if you add in the aforementioned discounts it’s a great deal. Will will send out registration forms soon and Can't wait to see you all.

I’m proud to say that we’ve reached our limit with regard to attendance for the Saturday and Sunday classes. If there is any attrition I'll do my best to fill any available spots in the order of expressed interest.

I wanted to remind everyone that the prerequisite for the more advanced Sat and Sun class is having taken the Practical Fundamentals Course. So if you're taking the Friday class you're fine. If you've taken a previous GGI class your fine....or if you have taken or received a similar calibre of experience /education you should be fine. If you have any questions please run it by Will.

We want everyone to have a great and safe experience.

John K, I'll put you on the wait list.

Hi Mayer,

Could you please add me to the waitlist as well for Sat and Sunday? Thanks. Oh, and feel free to bump me ahead of John K because that guy sucks.

Corey, of course we'll add you to the list.....

I'm too chicken to bump John K., I know he's got a gun and I heard he can shoot.
