Hi all,

A few weeks ago I saw a fellow shooter cinching a "wilderness instructor" belt around his waist.

Granted, I know more about holster/belt rigs for USPSA and Steel, so I am ASSuming that the velcro inner and outter belts would be ILlegal for IDPA.

I have just been using my plain ol' street clothes leather belt and metal buckle from the Gap. It's kinda a PITA though.

Any suggestions?

Where is a good place to get that "wilderness instructor" belt mentioned above?

Thanks!

I use one for IDPA. It's the 1.5" 5 stick one. The extra stiffness in helpful in holding everything where it should be when you draw and pull mags out of holders.

I bought mine here.

I use a 5 stitch 1.5" Wilderness Instructors belt. Much stiffer than the 1.5" leather dress belt I used when I first started out.

Danke!

Anybody got any links?

I don't suppose Safariland makes anything like that.

I still have a $250 Safariland certificate I won that I have yet to use.

If you are cheap, a Bison Designs Last Chance Heavy Duty is very similar to the Wilderness 3 stitch. And still made in USA.

I use an Aker (plastic center) leather dress belt for CC.
I've used it in a pinch for PPC but, with cheapy mag holders, it's a little thick,
I've had it for 5+ years now and you can still toss it across the room and it stays completly round and stiff.
