Hi All,

I run the Dallas Target and Action Shooters group. Here is a link to the group:

http://targetshooting.meetup.com/27/

Please feel free to join in you're in the D/FW area!

About Us:
We are an easy-going group for men and women in the DFW area who are looking to make friends while enjoying and exploring the world of target shooting. We welcome ALL SKILL LEVELS, from those interested in going to the range for the first time, to the experienced.

What are we about? First and foremost this is a social group to meet new friends in a relaxed environment while exploring and enjoying our sport.

There are no fees, however donations to help cover the costs of running the site are greatly appreciated!

Welcome Rainman!

We're shooting again on July 5th - hope you can join us then.

This Saturday we're booked with 30 people attending from this group and another social group I help run. I usually try and limit the number of people that can attend, but at the same time want to be as inclusive to new shooters as possible.

When is the next shoot?

"Out of every 100 men sent to battle, 10 shouldn't even be there, 80 are just targets, 9 are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior and he will bring the others back." - Heraclitus 500 BC

Just signed up shadowboxer! I didn't know there were such a club.

Addison is like 1000 miles away from Saginaw where I reside lol, but i think it will be good to meet up with fellow shooters, so Count me in.

Need to see if the GF is off work that day before I RSVP though. See ya there!

Thanks to everyone that attended our dinner-social last week and then our range day on Saturday.

We had 15 people at dinner last week, and 22 at our range day - many of which were new members!

Good times! I should have the 229 back from the gunsmith before the next range trip if you want to give it a go. Did julie like the 239 she sampled?

Next time i'm plinking some reactionary targets for sure.

Hey Matt - thanks for joining us last week.

She liked the size, but not the recoil of the 357 Sig. Also, we're looking to get a ccw gun for her, and the weight of the 239 was a bit much for her to have on her all day. If it were up to me, she'd carry a .500 Smith and Wesson Wink We're thinking a J-frame may be a good starting point for her as she can always draw from my collection for range guns.

She's pretty psyched to try her first competition shoot tomorrow night at Elm Fork.

Hope you'll join us again soon!

Here's a link to a vid of me running a carbine drill at Elm Fork with the crew Wednesday night. It's a 9mm RRA AR.

We had to switch from strong-side to weak-side at each post as we approached. We also needed to use the post as 'cover'.

Shadowboxer I just joined a couple of minutes ago. As I stated in my profile I go to school up in the metroplex and I am up there most of the week. I have a pretty load right but I will try to make some of the meetings in the near future.
