OpSpec Training heads to Reading, Pennsylvania offering our flagship Practical Fundamentals class on May 12 & 13, 2018. This class has been very popular with all pistol shooters including law enforcement and active military.

This is not a basic class. At minimum, students should have taken a basic handgun safety course and be confident with their firearm and gear. We expect students to have experience shooting on a line in a safe manner, including loading, reloading and drawing/shooting from the holster. Shooters with IDPA, USPSA, NRA Action Pistol, 3-Gun, law enforcement and military experience meet the program prerequisites.

Practical Fundamentals
Using a building-block approach, Practical Fundamentals encourages students to focus on the process of running the gun, tamping down the emotional desire to see results on the target. By using a variety of dry fire and live fire exercises, students are brought through the fundamentals of marksmanship with a focus on trigger control to help the shooter make fast hits on small targets, on demand.

Instructors*: Jerry Jones

When: May 12 & 13, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day

Class size: Limited to 24 students, with a minimum of 12 students.

Tuition: $450, with a $225 deposit

Range Fees: TBD

Local Host: Erik Schwendeman with the Muhlenberg Township Police Department

Ammunition: Round count for Practical Fundamentals will be approximately 750 - 850 rounds

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.

Hey Steve - the wife and I are signed up. How many other non-LE students are there at this point, or are we the only two?

Steve will be along shortly to tell you for sure, but I don't think you two are the only non-coppers.

Looks like there are more than four or five students not associated with law enforcement.

May possibly also bring a female/ non-LE instructor with us if the class grows by a couple more.

Jerry,

Awesome class - really enjoyed it and look forward to improving with the techniques we learned. Belinda was really happy she went, despite being totally freaked out beforehand.

For those forum members who haven't taken Practical Fundamentals - you're missing out.
