Snakeman, would you be intersted in a combined pistol/carbine class at BW? They do a 5 day that way. I was thinking perhaps we could customize it into 2 modules so that people who wanted just pistol or a shorter class could do a 2 day and 5 for the whole shebang.

That was the class I was most interested in.
I met 2 civilians that were in my Sig Armorer's training class this spring, who went through that very BW class last year.
They were most impressed with the level of intensity of the instructors. They took it in NC.
Like you, and for the same reason as you stated in an earlier post, Moyock is where I would like to attend their classes.
My thinking is, if we can get enough forum members to attend, BW will run a custom class for us, but I have been wrong before.
I just can't remember when the last time was. Big Grin

BW's motto is "Train Hard or don't train at all"

If there is enough interest, I'd be willing to be the point on this. From what I've learned about BW, doing a custom class would not be a problem. Getting enough people to commit in a timely manner might be.

Where in the SW lower are you? I'm in Hillsdale.

I'm in Niles, straight west of you.
Since I'm new on this forum, I think you being the point man is prudent. But I will help you in any way I can.

I went through the BWN (now midwest) Tac P 1 course and thought it was very good. It was my first non-mil course so I can't compare it to other non-mil courses like TDI, Front Sight, etc..

BWM might be a little better in certain respects from Moyock because the classes at BWM tend to get together after class more and the range isn't at the noise level as Moyock. From folks that went thru Moyock they said it was a non-stop fire fight everywhere (noise-wise).

I'd recommend noise cnx'ing headsets like ProEars or Peltor. There is so much going on with instructions and commands while adjoining ranges are hot that those types of headphones really work well. Once you shoot with a pair you'll never go back.
