I received an email tonight from Jones, the course is confirmed. This will be a welcome "rest" from my midterm responsibilities.

So, Bruce, if I come do Practical Fundamentals, can I get my Oregon CPL at the same time? Deputy? Wink

Scott and I spoke about this during Gun Camp. I seem to recall the content was not the problem so much as the demonstration of the need to carry to the sheriff.

Oh, I already have training certificates from NRA instructors, so that's not what I meant. I just seem to remember Bruce saying his sheriff was very pro-carry.

This isn't my call, of course. Oregon statutes require the demonstration of need for non-resident CHL's. Our Sheriff's office has historically been very pro-Second Amendment, but I won't presume to speak for our new Sheriff nor put him on the spot. It's strictly his call and I appreciate your understanding of the matter.

Husky knows what to do to get it in a different County, I dunno if our current Sheriff will give you one, but I guess you could try.

I just recommend everybody open carries here.

If attending the low light package, please bring along the flashlight of your chosing. If you bring along a weapon mounted light, you'll get the chance to train with it as well.

As an FYI, we are rapidly approaching September 1st which is the end of the early enrollment period for this course. In light of that, I thought I would quote the pricing from the original post. Please remember, all that is necessary is a deposit, at this time. Your balance is due your first day of class.
quote:
Price:
If deposit is postmarked prior to September 1st:
  • 1 training day – $200.00
  • 2 training days – $400.00
If deposit is postmarked after September 1st:
  • 1 training day – $225.00
  • 2 training days – $450.00
Note: GGI Alumni receive a discount of 10% off course tuition.

Regards,
Will M.
