One of our home ranges is in Paducah, Kentucky so we do teach here multiple times per year. We’re holding a Practical Fundamentals class in Paducah in early April 2018, when the weather should be comfortable outside.

(Note, we moved this class to new dates. New dates are April 7 & 8, 2018, which is the weekend after Easter.

If you have experience working from a holster, and have good gun-handling skills, you meet the pre-requisites for this class. If you've taken OpSpec Training's Intro to Practical Fundamentals, Practical Fundamentals, competed in USPSA, IDPA or 3-Gun matches or have law enforcement or military training you also meet the pre-requisites for this class.

Practical Fundamentals
Using a building-block approach, Practical Fundamentals encourages students to focus on the process of running the gun, tamping down the emotional desire to see results on the target. By using a variety of dry fire and live fire exercises, students are brought through the fundamentals of marksmanship with a focus on trigger control to help the shooter make fast hits on small targets, on demand.

When: April 7 & 8, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day

Class size: Limited to 24 students, with a minimum of 12 students.

Tuition: $450, with a $225 deposit

Ammunition: Round count for Practical Fundamentals will be approximately 750 - 850 rounds

Our host hotel is the La Quinta Inn & Suites, located at 3960 Coleman Crossing Circle in Paducah. The hotel offers a 15% discount to students taking a class with us. Ensure you book early, as discounted room availability may be limited.

The property was built in 2015 and is located less than 10 minutes from the range. Hotel amenities include free high-speed Internet access, free “Bright Side” breakfast, an indoor pool and spa. Trip Advisor reviews are positive, but do note La Quinta does welcome pets to their hotels.

To ensure you get the most "bang for your buck" we keep lunch breaks to one hour. If you have the ability to bring your lunch, you may do so. If you need to run out and get a quick meal, there options are available near the range.

Question on quals for this class. I have been shooting a long time, a decent shot, I know how to handle pistols. I did take the LFI 1 class many years ago. But all my shooting is at static ranges, so I have little experience in drawing from a holster. Would this class be appropriate or the intro?
