OpSpec Training is returning to Valencia, California for our two-day version of our Advanced Pistol Marksmanship program.

This is an advanced-level course. If you have experience working from a holster, and have good gun-handling skills, you meet the pre-requisites for this class. If you’ve taken OpSpec Training’s Intro to Practical Fundamentals, Practical Fundamentals or competed in USPSA, IDPA or 3-Gun matches you also meet the pre-requisites for this class. To get the most benefit from this class, you should have taken OpSpec Training’s Practical Fundamentals class within the last two to three years.

Advanced Pistol Marksmanship
The two-day Advanced Pistol Marksmanship course is for a shooter who wants to become faster and more accurate for defensive or competitive shooting. This course places a heavy emphasis on process oriented technical marksmanship to solve various marksmanship challenges. The goal of this course is to take the shooter through a series of logically organized problems, and equip the shooter with the ability to solve them. This has been described as a very mentally challenging course that pays a dividend in overall technical skills.

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.

Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams

Not really. We have a wide reach, particularly in CA Law Enforcement for all the same reasons people here train with us. I wrote for years for Modern Service Weapons when it was the hot thing. Since its slow demise, the same folks have followed us on our website, Instagram, and other venues such as Calguns.

You should have been there. Not only was it a good class, but it gave me an idea for a new one day class called MAXX. Probably going to try it next year. Similar concept, but HARD. Very little formal instruction, lots of one on one coaching, and very tight accuracy standards, and times. Oh, and a little PT thrown in for good measure.

I've wanted to try a class like that, and I've wanted to run a firearms instructor class. Both will happen in '18.

I had hoped to make it as well, but managed to screw up my shoulder and didn't think I could keep up left-handed. I thought the host was a forum member?
