I have a 26gen4 and a 19gen4 that I want to get cuts for cowitness optics. I haven't decided on what glass to mount, leaning toward the Vortex venom. I had a chance to handle a buddy's G26 that had a RMR on it,and fell in love with it. Made a hell of a difference with my old ass eyes. Looked online at a few shops that does custom work, but wanted to ask what you would recommend for a custom shop.

ATEi does really good work. That’s where I would go for the 26. For the 19 I might seriously just consider sell my gen 4 and buying one of the MOS guns. If you like gen 4 you can go that route. Probably cheaper in the long run

L&M Precision and ATEI jump right to mind as pretty no-nonsense operations with good reps, but I wouldn't rule out buying a second, milled slide. I bought a Brownells pre-milled slide for my 26 at under $200 (sale plus 10% coupon code) and am very pleased with it. Swapping the internals over requires a punch and about five minutes. Installing sights might be there only real challenging part, but Dawson Precision sights come with the necessary tools at a very fair price. The advantage of course is you can return the gun to stock if you change your mind or want to shoot it with irons.

I would also steer you toward the Holosun 507c if you're looking at vortex. The 507c is arguably much more robust and can still be had in the $225 range shipped (if you look around, including here on SF).

Edit to add that there were no replies when I started typing. Shows that L&M and ATEI are both well regarded...

I would a avoid the MOS, it is designed for too many platforms. Pick the optic you want to use and then have the slide milled for that optic.

I just sent a P226 slide to Mark Housel L&M Precision. I bought Glock slides from Suarez.

Do you want lower 1/3 co-witness?

Agency Arms AOS system. I’m having my duty G17 done as we speak. Their WC is top notch and their customer service is nothing short of superb. This system “future-proofs” your gun by allowing for a far better plate system than the AOS.

I used Battle Werx for my 19 gen 4. It turned out great.

I just got mine back and it’s excellent work. The thing I like most is it’s forward compatible with new optics coming. It sits lower than the Glock MOS and you can choose the rear sight in front of or behind the optic.

As soon as I put a RDS on it, I intend to put pics up.

Wish Glock made it possible to buy a slide for my Glock 29. Want to keep the original with night sights but would like the option of having a second slide with an optic.

They quote 10-12 but mine was half that. 7 weeks at the most.

Agency Arms AOS system

Didn't agony have some issues with this system in his very extensive long term test???
IN any case for a straight mill the two I can recommend personally are PMM and L&M. Both mint and both numerous examples. I have never heard bad things about ATEI as an alternative

Appreciate the input & suggestions. By the way, what do you like for either IWB and OWB holsters for a G26 with optics and light. I have the Olight PL mini on both guns. Great little light. 600 lumens. Attached to the 26 with a Recover tactical rail adopter. Solid as a rock.
