Polymer and still twice the weight of a Glock 17. Yeah that's fairly hefty. My 92X Performance with its steel frame is only about 2 1/2 oz. heavier.

Yeah well it’s actually heavier than most steel framed pistols, including a full size 1911. You’re talking a round operating with 60,000 PSI and three times the muzzle energy of standard 9mm or 45ACP.

Recoil is stout even with the weight. In fact, recoil is stout out of the Field Pistol that weighs 51oz empty. The weight is needed.
