I'd easily pick the 239 for the reliability factor and the ease (and cheaper cost) of parts - especially grips and magazines.

In regards to reliability, if I recall what I've read on the forums correctly, the P6 models may have problems reliably feeding hollowpoint ammo. If yours has that problem, you may end up needing to get a newer barrel. The actual P225's did not run into this problem.

my p6 fits my hand better than the 239. That was untill I held a 239 with hogue rubber grips with the finger grooves. That changed everything, I must have one!

Well I found a very nice p6 today. in about 90% with a new holster, the p6 manual in German blue box and 2 mags. In addition my gunshop had 2 like new Sig mags at $23. ea. hanging on the wall I couldn't get my money out fast enough. Wish they had more I got em all. Found 2 other new Sig mags at a place down the street and even still in the box sig boxes at $38 ea. Purchased all they had. Now I've got 6 mags including the 2 that come with the p6. Prob overkill but get em while you can I guess.
Paid a bit more for the gun at $349. the barrel feed ramp is still blued no to little wear. The 239 I shot last night was great but somehow the p6 fits my hand best and feels well balanced to me more so than the 239. The trigger pull is not as nice on the p6 but that can be changed right? I'm 10 days and counting till I can show a picture. My thanks for all your input. My first Sig. I couldn't be happier! Now for a 220 .45 is this a sickness that can be cured?

Congrats Ranger20. Sound like you got a good deal and are well supplied. I lucked up and order a stack of surplus mags for $13 each when I ordered two guns early on.

P225. Fits my had way better than a P239. The P239 feels too top-heavy to me.

Trigger on my P225 is just fine, both DA and SA.
