The Sig 225 A1 is a fine gun. Feels great in the hand. A natural pointer too.GREAT TRIGGER!!

PLEASE Sig, make this in a 6+1 or 7+1 45!!!

It would sell a boat load!! Anyone else want this? Regards 18DAI

They already do. It's called a P220.

Nah. The 220 is bigger and thicker. Never cared for the recoil pulse of the 220 either. Same for the 245. Too thick!

The 225 A1 is just right! Smile Regards 18DAI

.45 doesnt fit the P225 frame. It must be made larger hence the P220.

Just because you can,
doesn't mean you should

Compare the dimensions of a .45 vs a 9mm (about .380") and you'll see why it needs to be a little thicker and longer (.07" x 8 rounds=.560").

I just want one with a DAK trigger installed. Anyone who has one care to pull the grips and see if it's compatible?

You won't get the short grip with a 7+1. TP45 or CT45 from Kahr as a guide. Pretty close to p225.

My want:
The 225A1 in .357 Sig. That would be a handful!

For that you would need the slide thickness of a 224 or 229c which is much thicker. The slide on those are thicker than an M11-A1 to accommodate the 40/357 round. I wish my 224 or 229c had a slimmer slide. That is why a barrel change is all you need to swap between the 224/229c 9mm and 40. Same slide for both.

How about the 220 carry? Smile

I just wish they make a flush fitting 9 round mag. Even a plus 1 mag base for the 225 A1 would be nice

So, how are you expecting the recoil to be in a smaller and thinner gun?

My 4513TSW AND CS45 both are lighter and smaller than any 220 model. Both are soft shooters. The dual recoil spring system of the 4513TSW provides that. Along with the delayed unlocking.

If S&W could do it, so could Sig. Regards 18DAI

Isn't the P225-A1 based on the P239 frame? If that is the case then .45ACP would be out of the question but .357 Sig might be possible.

I think.38 Super is the same overall length as .45 ACP. It will also require a larger frame.
