My ultra-sick P6, formerly bastardized by a fellow who thought he was a 'gunsmith' is now reborn!

Thanks to a CRRAP job by Steve it WILL be around for a long time to come! Big Grin No doubt the crew at GGI have SIGS in general and specifically the P6 figured out (thankfully).

The poor gun had a recoil spring that wasn't made for ANY SIG. Beyond that, it seems it needed a good massage and back-rub to bring it alive. Well worth the wait and the extra bucks.

Oh how the 'short reset trigger' improves the feel. Steve kindly re-blued the barrel, becasue he felt it, "...looked disgusting..." (it did). Now it looks human again - and I again THANK Steve for his 'extra care package'! Smile

What else can I say? Worth the SHORT wait for the transformation to take place. Worth everything, period. He even said something about it being, "...a tack driver". In his hands it may be; in my shaky hands, well I'll settle for it being 'darn accurate'.

THANK YOU AGAIN GGI! The war-department says I can send in another Sig for a good CRRAP when I get the carpets cleaned. SO......... I'll be calling those folks SOON! Wink

STEVE (220ST) KEEP ON ROCKIN'!

Picture a small amout of holster wear, moderately worn grips and perfectly tuned guts. Wink

Now picture ME running in circles trying to take pictures. I'll get it done - but not too quickly. If I decide to re-finish it I'll do it then; for now it's a typical carry piece. Big Grin

STEVE (220ST) KEEP ON ROCKIN'!

EMBARASSED ..... no make that EMBARRASSED (great spell checker John) .......... QUITE.

That's what I get for using a clone word processing program and letting it fill in the blanks. That and not reading what I type.

It's set to complete words as typed IF the word was typed before. SCOTT is in the "bank", BUT, dummy typist must actually LOOK at the screen before accepting the spelling (dumb).

I typed "ST" ..... and the program completed "STEVE", which I accepted. Gad I feel like a twit. I've typed 220ST - STEVE so many times lately it was an "oops" I never noticed. In fact, I think I've done it a few other times too. STILL EMBARASSED. Red Face

Sorry SCOTT! I got it right on the SUBJECT line! Maybe I'd better hold off on sending that 'second gun' after all, huh? Red Face

I observe so little! Missed Jerry's Avatar which is beyond appropriate. Big Grin Yes indeed it does sum up my 'oops'. Red Face THANKS JERRY!

Waddling off with tail hanging down.

Yes sir! Well, that is if I dare move outside the house after repeatedly calling SCOTT -"Steve"! Red Face

I'll keep my baby-sitter close by the phone to remind me of the call so I do not go, "Steve who???". Big Grin

Yes, Steve (aka Scott) does a great job on pistols.

My P6 was given a new life by Teresa (aka Torie).

As we speak, Robert (aka Roy) is working on my P220. Can't wait to have it back.

I'm looking forward to the time that Brian (aka Bruce) will have a chance to tweak a 1911 for me.

The troops at Blue Guns (aka GGI) do great work and are a pleasure to deal with. And that Jack Johnson guy (aka jljones) runs a good carbine course.
