$50 for a mag!!! No thanks. I'll be getting the mec-gar for half the price. Sig is as bad as HK on their mag prices.

Do the Mec-Gars work as well as factory? I'm curious to know b/c will be picking some up for a friend as a Christmas present. Pros? Cons? Thanks.

The MecGars I've bought for my 9mm 226's have been fine, just identical to the ones that come with the guns, which would make sense considering they make SIG's magazines these days. The ones I've bought for other guns haven't been the same story though. The MecGar 38 Super mags I bought for my ParaOrdnance didn't work at all. And the 18 rounders I just bought for my 9mm XD have a habit of gouging huge chunks of flesh anytime I'm not careful seating them and they won't fall free of the gun so are useless for competition, or carry either from my perspective.

Get them while you can. $49.95 at topgunsupply.com. You may not be able to buy hi-cap next year. If you shoot a hi quality gun you should be able to afford the mags. After they "(D)" band them, I don't want to have any regrets. Thanks

I know Mec Gar makes SIG mags, but are the SIG SCT and Mec Gar AFC 20 rds mags exactly the same thing? Are there any differences? Can someone confirm this?
