Went back home this weekend, and me and my dad headed up to the gun store (my dad's know the owner for years before he owned the gun shop). We were going to drop off some brass, and sure enough there is a Sig Pro 9mm and a H&K USP 9mm. He knows I like both and says he will make me a deal on either. Ended up getting the Sig pro for 375 (I had also given him about 350 .45 brass).

Got back to my parents place and we put ~50 rounds through it, shoots like a dream. Now I don't know how to tell for sure but i think is has the Ifalion finish, the slide is really smooth and glossy looking, and the frame says made in germany. I would post pictures but i don't have my camera, and plus my dad bought it so my wife wouldn't know about it, he decided he liked it so much after shooting it that he would keep it until paid him back.

sureshot45, Congrats on the Sig Pro! None of my Sigs have the Infalion finish but if yours stays glossy it may very well have that finish.

Sig Pro pistols are one of my all time favorites. I dug my Sig Pro 2022 out from by night stand a few days ago and took it to the range for the first time in months and shot it just as well as when I used to practice with it weekly. They are every bit as reliable and accurate as the much more expensive 22X series.

Next to the P6 the Sig Pro is one of the best deals going for a Sig and at the price you paid I would say you did pretty well.

I was completely stoked about the price, it is a used gun but I would estimate it had 500-1k rounds through it max. The barrel had the smileys but the outer chamber area still has most of its finish. Gun came with a Box, 2 mags and the manual. I thought it was a descent deal at 425 but 375 just makes me happy.

He did say though that he cannot sell Sigs or H&K's and that he has talked to a few other gun shops in the area and they can't either. I guess people just don't know quality, but hey that means there are more out there for me. If he still has that USP 9mm in a few months it will probally be going home with me too.

Are you sure, if he shot it he may keep it Smile

I'm keeping my fingers crossed he gives it up, i will probably have to buy a 1911 and swap him.

Question though does anyone carry a Pro for CC? I'd like to find a IWB holster for it but i am having to luck locating one.

I carry a 2340 in a Don Hume IWB which uses just a clip. I bought it because it was inexpensive (about $25-30) to use until I found a top of the line maker. However, I liked the Don Hume so much I never ordered another. I've been using it for about 2 years.

Here's the link.

Comp Tac makes holsters for the Pro. If your order one, make sure to tell them either the 2022, 2340 or 2009.

SigPro, the longer you shoot it, the more you'll love it. Congratulations! You got the right choice. You got Sig.

The shiny black finish (noticeably more shiny than regular Nitron Sigs) indicates that this in one of the Ilaflon finished guns. My preference between the two. Great gun - I'm sure you will enjoy it.

A guy at the range let me try his H&K USP 9mm this weekend.

When I picked it up it felt really light, then I shot it and had to check the case to make sure it wasn't a .40 cal.

Does it have a "loaded chamber" indicator on the top of the slide at the ejection port? Does it have an oval cut out for the serial number or a rectangular one? Two quick ways to see if it's one of the ones from the batch with Ilaflon ones many of us got around the beginning of Summer this year. There are a few more ways but these are the two quickest.

I know that is has a loaded chamber indicator, and I'm 99% sure is has an oval cut for the serial number. I'll have to check this weekend but what other ways are there to tell? I have the Sig bug again so bad, my USPc.45 has a good chance of going on the market.

sureshot45, if your Sig Pro has serial numbers and German proof marks on the slide it is probably an Infalion finish. The only other thing I can think of is give it some time to see if it dries out and looks grayish black like most of the nitron finished slides seem to do.

Amongst my other sigs, I also have a 2340. Great gun. Shoots everything except some cheap
re-manufactured loads. On a couple of them they
failed to lock the slide open on the last shot.
They were , for safety I suppose, pretty weak
loads. Sig pro is built like a tank.
