Forgot. If you are into it, a custom round of .32 with XTP going at 1020 fps will provide more than 12" of penetration and the XTP will still flower as it should.

An experienced loader can handle that.

Are you saying the magazines have been updated or otherwise improved?

Or is rim lock overblown like the net can seem be at times because those with problems post more than those without problems as they seek answers.

Don't know, not following closely the developments.

What I can say is this. With Fiocchi Extrema, Fiocchi FMJ, Geco FMJ and Hirtenberger FMJ my Gen 2 experienced no rimlock.

I intend to test the P32 this morning in a couple of hours using Fiocchi ball as a break in ammunition. I only have time for 50rds in between appointments.
I hope it goes well.

50 rounds down range without a hitch.

The tan Cerakote makes it hard to see the bump of a front sight.
I need to put a little paint on the front site, well, bump as it were.

Try point shooting. I don't even use the sights, just extend hand toward target like you are pointing at it and squeeze. I shoot one handed this way with my P-32 and land all the shots in the kill zone of silhouette at 5 yards which is the closest my range will allow. They used to allow 3 yards, but dumb asses were shooting and ricocheting rounds off the floor.

Yeah, I understand. I am still going to paint the front sight face red or orange.

It was a good start at the range for this pistol and I plan to shoot more tomorrow, hopefully using Silvertips as well as FMJ.

I have doubts about the short OAL of the Silvertips. That said, at the very least, if the P32 is reliable with the FMJ, it's going to be a good last ditch self defense carry piece as I intended when I purchased it.

I have ordered my Lisa Hedley back pocket holster for it. It's a six week wait but by June sometime, it will be ready for summer carry.

Good to go.

Did it feel stable and comfortable when handling/firing it? Fwiw, if it felt a bit on the funny side, a Hogue HandAll Jr. should improve it. Have to trim it.

You might want to see if you can purchase some Fiocchi 60gr SJHP ammo to try out. This ammo is pretty snappy compared to others, but it feeds/ejects 100% in my P-32s. The ammo is a jacketed soft point with a hollow point in the lead section. Just a thought.

It's not too bad.
It felt as expected.

One does need to grip it tightly, I mean, there is not much pistol there in terms of size period.
It definitely felt slimmer than my Seecamp .32 and had a slight bit more recoil due to it's light weight.

The sights are horrible of course, we knew this going in, right?
I would say my Seecamp's sights are horrible, but it doesn't have any.

I will do more testing tomorrow with a box of FMJ and a box of Silvertips. I figure it will not be broken in until the 150rd mark.

After today's outing, I am reasonably impressed so far. I think this may work out.

I will look for it. I am still worried about OAL. The Slvertips should tell the tale tomorrow.

Exactly what all 32s are you talking about.
It's OK, I won't tell anybody, nobody will know.

That's interesting, I had a Seecamp 32 for a short time and HATED the recoil and how it pounded my hand. Got a P-32 and thought it was a pussycat in comparison.

Nice slow motion there. It appears that the second film shows that strange wallet holster one shoots without removal that Dallas239 posted about.

I will admit that given the low price of the p32, I was a bit skeptical of this pistol. Not any more.

I completed my 2nd range visit today. I grabbed the wrong boxes of ammunition and ended up shooting another 50rds of Fiocchi 73gr FMJ.
Performance was stellar and trouble free.
That makes 100 rounds total the last 2 days and all went perfectly, no jams, no hiccups, nothing.

The P32 felt way more comfortable to me today than yesterday. I'm impressed.

- I am able to grip the pistol normally with 2 hands with both thumbs pointing forward along the frame like I do with full size pistols.

- Recoil is not bad really and no stinging or other deleterious effects to my hand or fingers was felt.

- Accuracy isn't bad if I do my part.

- The trigger pull is light and long.
I should note the trigger reset is a bit different than I am used to. As I let the trigger forward after a shot, there is a very slightly felt click, but it doesn't reset there. I have to continue with the trigger going forward until I feel another more substantial click, then it's reset.
In a nutshell, when resetting the trigger, the 2nd click is where I want to be. It is not difficult to manage the trigger reset, it's just a bit odd compared to other pistols I own.
I don't know if all 2nd Generation P32s do this, just that mine does.

I am really liking this pistol.
I feel it has proved itself reliable and suitable for carry IMO.

The oft asked question around sigforum is:
"Is she hot?"
Yes, my little Kel-Tec P32 is hot.
It warms my heart.

lbj, I carried mine for a long time, IWB, crossdraw, with the belt clip accessory.

Eventually, the slide rusted on the skin side, so I had it refinished at CCR. Always used Silvertips, as they were recommended for functioning properly, at the time.

I got the notion to try improving the sight picture and painted the trapezoid flats on the slide's rear. The masking tape didn't give clean edges as you can see. I touched it up better, but don't have a picture.

The sight picture is much easier to acquire this way.

Do you use standard mags without the added mag spacers when shooting Silvertips?

Have you experienced rim lock?

I am going to try painting the front sight post first and see if I can live with that.
