Just picked up a nice 226 Nickle w/ nite sights. Guy said about 200 rounds thru it. Sights are dim, dim, dim. JJ date code. No box or paperwork.
Got it cleaned and installed new night sites. I'm thinking I just found a new friend. |

I believe there's a tutorial kicking around here somewhere on posting pics, but the short version is:
You have to get them up somewhere on the web (like Photobucket, or even your own web site if you have one) and then you click the little picture square on the posting widow (2nd from the right) and paste the picture's URL into the little drop down that appears. So easy a caveman could do it. _______________________________________________________________________________ “Stand your ground. Do not fire unless fired upon. Here are guidelines I deveoped for myself.
Dan The basic steps are as follows: 1. Take a photo with your digital camera. 2. Download the photo from your camera to your PC. 3. Upload the photo from your PC to a web site, such as photobucket.com. 4. Transfer the photo from photobucket.com to the Sig Forum. Photobucket.com In order to store photo’s on this site, you must register. There is no service fee. During your registration you will assign yourself a User Name and a Password. How to Upload Photo’s from your PC to Photobucket.com 1. Log onto photobucket.com with your User Name and Password. 2. On the opening page, right hand side, look for the area titled, “Upload Image & Video”. In this same area, be sure the “from My Computer” button is highlighted. Then click on “Choose Files.” 3. You will then be directed back to your PC so you can select the picture you want uploaded to photobucket.com. The picture could be stored in My Documents, My Pictures, etc. 4. Once you find the picture you want uploaded, double click on the picture. This will then transfer it to photobucket.com. When the transfer is complete, you can then add a “title” to the picture. After which, scroll down and click on “Save & Continue.” 5. You can now add more pictures to photobucket.com by clicking on “Choose Files” or end your session with phototbucket.com. How to Transfer Photo’s from photobucket.com to the Sig Forum 1. Log onto Sig Forum with your User Name and Password. 2. Go to the Forum you want to post on and click on “New” and then “Discussion.” 3. A blank message page comes, which allows you to enter a title for your message and then the message itself. 4. When you are ready to post a photo in your message, do so as follows: A. Pull up photobucket.com so you can select the picture you want posted. Under the picture, click on the words “Direct Link.” B. Then, go back to the message you are preparing on the Sig Forum. Above your message you will see what looks like a green mountain icon (next to the white envelope), which states “Display Image-UBBCode.” Click on this green mountain icon and then immediately look for the box titled “Image URL.” Click on this “Image URL box and then right click to paste your photo. Then click OK. Your actual photo will appear when you enter your post. |
