I mentioned to Bruce last year that I would want a GGI 9X23 based on a P220ST. It seemed fitting in light Bruce's history with SIG pistols and the 9x23 cartridge.

Will M.

With a custom 220 barrel in 9x23 (of course) and .38 Super mags, I imagine 9x23 would work.

Such a conversion should be possible with a folded slide, but I don't think it would be a durable pistol. After all, SIG switched to one piece slides in the 226 when they began offering .40 and.357 SIG chamberings.

Now that's a SIG I'd love to have!

9x23 too, even better! Smile

Very cool indeed. I don't know if the rarity or the extra 6 ounces makes it more appealing. Must be a breeze to stay on target while firing rapidly. Good work!!

Parabellum: You definitely need to send that picture to SIG, and tell them to at least make stainless slides and mags in 9mm and 10mm that will fit on our existing 220 frames!

Some folks at SIG have already seen the pic. Regarding the potential for future manufacture of these slides, or mags in 10mm, it's not going to happen.

I have the perfect guiney pig for a Bruce Gray 9mm conversion. Just picked up a nice 220 ST and because I love 9mm SOOOOO much I would be willing to offer mine as the test subject.

Bruce... If you out there call me! LOL!!!

Neat pistol, and a very interesting story on the slide. Well done!

Is that the 1st P220 in 9mm since BDA times?
