Anyone out there have both and able to give a description of your perceived differences.
I'm currently carrying a 239 and a Glock 19 about equally. Recently picked up my first M&P which I really like so I'm wondering how the M&P compact would work for CCW. Thanks ... ... I just picked up the M&P .40 and .45 compacts. The .40 size is similar to the 239, but I didn't handle the 9mm compact. Obviously, you get more rounds with the M&P plus the three different backstraps for selecting the best grip. The trigger will be similar to your G19 so that gives you a good training consistency although you didn't post if your SIG is DA/SA or DAK. Your new M&P should be a fine carry choice, but that doesn't mean your 239 will start collecting dust either.
FYI, the .45 compact is almost identical in size to a G23, but with a much slimmer and better fitting grip (for me anyway). |

i own both the 239 and m&p compact both are 9mm, both carry great but I carry the 239 every day due to the smooth trigger, I like the m&p but am looking into a trigger job, It seems a little gritty, but other than that its a great gun
