Walther PPK/s - Interarms 1979 (circa) Warranty Service
A couple of years ago my father gave me his Interarms/Walther Licensed PPK/S
Beautiful little pistol, but had terrible issue with safety dropping and hammer following as well as not being able to clear a magazine without it dropping from the frame.
Well, when Walther took over production of the PPK line from S&W, I hazard to ask Walther support, in an email if they would service the pistol.
Service dept asked for the serial number and they agreed to service the pistol?! I then asked, at my cost, would they provide a FedEx label so that I didn't have to pay the next day, overnight Air... to which they agreed... it gets better.
They service the pistol and return it in 3 days at no cost, all covered under warranty and they didnt charge for the shipping.
Indeed, that is tremendous customer service!!!
I will get to the range tomorrow to test the pistol, however I am confident it will be fine as it was dirty from test firing.
If all goes well, I will be a definite Walther proponent.
I was fully prepared to pay for shipping and servicing.
Congrats on getting the PPK running so well. I know that’s satisfying. I’ve never even shot a PPK, but I’m a huge fan of the PPS Classic and M2, own a couple, and prefer it to my P365 as my go-to carry gun, even though I like the 365 a lot also. There’s just something about the grip size and texture (with Talon rubber) of that M2 that feels perfect in my hand. And I put the +1 spring kit into my 8 rd mag, so now I have 9+1 when I carry, which is a little closer to the 12+1 of the SIG. Love that pistol...

I have a PPSm2 that needed the recall done on the trigger bar. They sent me a FedEx RMA and I had the gun back in 72hours door to door. I have a mid 1980’s ppk/s from my dad that’s always been finicky feeding. Might send it in.

I have been considering other Walther models for a while now, looking for a more modern Walther design this coming year.
That is, if the insanity dies down... no hysteria prices for me.
