Glad to see pistol marksmanship training remains unchanged since I was in. No high thumb grip making use of the thumb safety as an index shelf and fucking tea cupping.

A Veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."

As per the Army Force Modernization Database, The M17 will replace all M9s and the M18 will replace the M11. If everything goes according to plan. I did find something funny in the XM-17 BOIP.

Some basis of issue plans (BOIPS) have pictures. The one for the XM17 had a picture of the Glock. I suspect they put it there as a place holder and when they switch it from XM-17 to M-17 they will put the proper picture in.

SIG Sauer won the 10-year, $580 million contract with the U.S. Army.

The new handguns are equipped with an external safety, self-illuminating sights for low-light conditions, an integrated rail for attaching accessories and an Army standard suppressor conversion kit to attach an acoustic/flash suppressor

Ugh, that was painful to watch. When I took the M224 gunner job, I had to trade my M16 for a handgun, a 1911. Those were the days.

Damn POG's always making everyone else look bad. But they never issued us grunts pistols, which never made sense why we had to know the M9 for EIB testing since we never used it.

I had one of these tea-cupping, non-shooting idiot NCO’s try to scold me on how I was shooting and how I was shooting too fast and wasn’t gonna qualify.. should have seen the look on his face when he graded my target and saw that I didn’t miss once. Needless to say he never gave me shit at the range ever again

As a former 101st Infantryman that was painful to watch . If they can spend millions on a new pistol why can't they hire someone like Mike Seeklander to teach the troops how to shoot it ?
