I have yet to shoot mine, but it carries nicely.

I'll be Reviewing it in a couple weeks, with some Crimson Trace Grips and High Noon holsters as accessories.

I need to start off saying I didn’t really like revolvers.
My friend brought his .44 magnum and his LCR to the range a few weeks back. The .44 magnum was totally fun to shoot. The LCR wasn’t. Wife and I didn’t like it. On such a small gun the rotating wheel distracts both of us, and the sights sucked just like they do on our LCP. I didn’t like the trigger at all, too long and hard. I’ll stick to the LCP and my PM9 for pocket carry. To each their own.

If you are expecting a Colt Python it is not, but I think it is a very good revolver. I have no trouble with it's sights. Six inch pie plates don't stand a chance at 50 feet. Outside of the Python or S&W Model 19 it has the most accuracy of all my snubbies and I have six of them.

The LCR is like the S&W 442 it's light and serves the purpose of dealing with up close social problems. It has a much better trigger than most J-frames. I carry the LCR or the 442 as backup to my P229.

If were to ever pick up another snubbie, it would be an LCR.

Big +1

I've shot and fondled both 642 and LCR, the LCR's trigger was MUCH smoother and didn't stack like the 642.

I found that statement funny Big Grin The rotation of the wheel is distracting but the recoiling slide is not? Big Grin

What are your thoughts on the new little LCR's?

Update: I'd holster carry it as well sometimes Cool

This picture was pulled from the internet. If it's yours hope you don't mind me using it.

Dont take this wrong. I would get a S&W Air Wieght 38Spl. We had one come though the shop, and we put it up to a S&W 638. The S&W is smaller in size and it only cost $40 more. And I like the overall fit and finsh of the S&W more. Plus the trigger was better on the S&W. And in the event you need to sell the gun, you can always get your money back out of a S&W.

I compared an LCR to a comparable Smith. To me the LCR pointed better. So, long story short, I had my dad order one. I love it, as do all my friends that have shot it. I think a few even called my dad and ordered their own.....

I almost purchased a 642 with a trigger job. I thought the trigger was pretty sweet. I then ran across a LCR and the trigger was even better. Its lighter, better trigger by a significant amount and has a nicer grip to it.

I bought it, but haven't gone to the range yet.

I carry an LCR every day, and shoot 20 rounds each and evry week since I've owned it at 7 yrds. The trigger is so much better than any J frame so that I sold my three J frames. I am about to add an XS sight. I am a revolver shooter, so it is no surprise that my night weapon is one of the following: P239 DAK or Kahr K9 NYPD trigger. I also carry for nights a Makarov, a real favorite, or a P239 DA/SA gen 2.

However, my LCR even sits in the pew with me.

I agree it's funny. The slide movement is after the fired shot. Shot that little LCR and looking down the sights I could still see the rotating wheel. Just a distraction to me. Again to each their own. I just prefer autos. Plus its what you get use too. That's why I want the Kahr P380 now. Love the PM9 dislike the LCP sights. To ME the P380 w/ night sight is on my NOW list to buy. If I could find one. Saw a Black PM9 new at Cabelas yesterday, but no P380.

LCP sits nice and flat in my pants. LCR not as thin. To each their own...
