Has anyone tried the 225 mags to see if they do fix/function in a 239?

I just picked up a couple of p225-a1 magazines for my p239.
They fit fine and lock the slide back when empty.
I ordered a few base pads for the p339 mags and will swap them out.

The spring, follower, and insert look identical to a p239 magazine.
The body appears identical except for notches at the bottom. The p239 bodies had them. I’m not sure of the purpose of the notches.

And you have shot them and no function problems correct?

Where might I find these magazines so that I may buy some?

I hope they someday provide 225a mag bases for our 239 mags. Then the mag can be used in both guns. I have both.

If anyone hears of this, please post.

Everything but the base pad is supposed to be the same.

Base pads arrived today.
This looks like a decent option to get around the availability of p239 mags, at least in 9mm.

If anyone is interested, I picked up the base pads from Numrich.

To get back to the OP question, has anyone tried shooting them and do they work?

I ordered online 6 225a mags from TGS on the 30th. They are already here. TGS is great.

Still hope someday to have 225 mag bottoms put on the 239 mags.

I fired 225A mags in my 239 Friday.

NO problems. Like they were made for each other.

And the different mag base was not a problem for my pinkie either

BTW I have two 239T and one 225A

I think it might be possible to remove some plastic from the 239 10 round mag bases to then fit into the 225a. Working on it.
