I think the market decided the death of the P250, not SIG.

That said, a DAK version would be intriguing for carry.

I bet if they gave it a sleeker design,
Classic dovetail sights, the sweet light long stroke with a short reset single action, and preserve the modularity you might sell a few.

I agree that SIG probably won't ever bring the P250 back since the P320 came out.

However, I absolutely LOVE my P250c.
Made it very easy to transition from a revolver to a semi-auto.

Me and two of my sons own P250C's in 9mm.
Son #1 bought his used (don't recall how much he paid for it) and me and son #2 tried it and loved it.

Bought both mine and son #2's at Academy Sports for $389.

IIRC Academy still has them on their website for $399 but inventory is getting kinda thin.

I bought one last week at field and stream for $319. I like it so far. Have they discontinued it?

Well worth it at that price. I've always wondered why DAK fans didn't take to it. Other than the early Reset which true DAKists say they don't use, they feel remarkably similar to me. Granted I have never had them side by side.

I saw an animation of the 250 lock work in the other thread. It seems very doable to have a DA/SA version. I would not call it the 250, and the slide would be sleeker.

I wonder why they never tried.

^This. The couple SIGs I've bought that were DAO, I've converted to DA/SA. The MUCH better half has very weak fingers and can't operate a DAO for more than one or two shots. If she can't operate a handgun, it's off my radar. I said the same when they introduced the 250. Nothing has changed since.

And the "modularity" thing isn't a big selling point either. When the "exchange" kit is 90% of the cost of another pistol, it's one of those "what's the point?" things.

I'd happily see the p250 return but ONLY if the unique rear sight became a standard dovetail sig rear. I had a 250 in my hands ready to purchase it when I noticed the rear sight issue. And that gun was $420 CANADIAN. However my aging eyes require upgraded sights (Trijicon HD's for example).

I did kind of wonder why a gun designed to be modular and interchangeable had non standard sight accommodation. It must have saved a few pennies, but I wonder how many millions of dollars it ended up costing.

Yup. Have one and like them. Please give a better option for a $320 full size gun if you can think of one.

Ummm...

I'm not an expert, but I believe the slides are different.

Slides, FCU and the slide locks are different.
