Just curious.

I own two. They "are what they are" and for me that means absolutely reliable bullet hoses. I very much like the trigger though I understand that many do not. But I have to admit I was not hapy to see SIG dump them when the P320 took off.

Anybody else wish SIG would bring back the P250 or am I alone?

I would love to see it redesigned, updated. Make the gun as it was originaly designed in Europe to have DA/SA with a short 3mm reset!! The P250 USA was changed from 9mm only to facilitate multiple calibers and in the process, the DA/SA mechanism was abandoned. I really don't know if the European one really got off the ground as you don't see any videos of that "original mechanism."

I could be mistaken, would love for someone in the know to chime in, Bruce, JJ?

I own two P250sc pistols, a 9mm and a .40 S&W. I like them too. It would be nice if the model used the same sights as the other pistols.

I agree about that.

Conventional sights would be good.

I'm with you 3/4Flap, but it ain't gonna happen. The P250 was undoubtedly sacked to make more room on the production lines for the P320/M17. Now Sig will not only be producing the M17, but devoting as many other resources as possible to fixing up to a half million P320s that have already been sold.

If the 250 had a trigger like in the Walther PPX or the HK light LEM, I would be a huge fan.

Nephew has a full size in .40S&W, to me, it is an entry level police and/or military weapon. Fired it again this past Wednesday, it ate everything we fed it, has proven reliable. However, it is on my short list of pistols I don't like. Usual complaints, trigger, etc, but as an entry level pistol sold at an entry level price it has its place, just no room in my gun safe for a P250.

I'm afraid you are right.

Fess up - what color did you paint the pistol on the bottom? (I like it!)

This is a factory FDE grip module. It never looks the same color when photographed.

I'll be carrying my P250 for backup/off duty while Sig is fixing my P320 fire control unit, two slides, and three grip modules. Won't skip a beat.

I like my kinda-sorta-rare P250SC in .380 a lot. Trigger isn't the best in the world, and it's on the big side for a .380 - but I like the safety and simplicity of the DAO. It's been 100% with any ammo (granted - not a lot) I've tried in it. I'm waiting, with baited breath, for someone to take a hammer to the back of the slide on a P250 ... Wink

I picked up a p250c 9mm several months ago and finally got it to the range last week. Overall I like it. It's a 15 rd revolver. Very nice!

Not me. I owned briefly a P250SC-9mm when the price dropped to around $400+tax.

I could not get used to the trigger and sold it to a Pima County Sheriff (female) who absolutely loves it.

IMO, P250 was not one of Sig's better ideas.

Love mine, I have two. One's a compact, the other a SC. I put the SC frame on the compact and it's my favorite and my EDC. I also have 3 320's, and enjoy shooting them, but I am more comfortable with the "revolver" trigger.

I think they dipped down to around $325 or so just before they discontinued them. Had no interest then or now. Although I EDC DA/SA, I didn't like the DAO. I didn't help that one of my buddies had an early one and I witnessed the problems he had. Put me off the P320 for a while because of it. Maybe, and a real maybe, I'd think about it if it were DA/SA, but I got the SP2022 for that. The only selling point would be the shared P320 grips/mags.

You have entirely missed the point of the P250.

First, the gun has a far better DA than the 2022, of which I have had 5. And light years better than any 200 series.

Secondly, it is absolutely reliable.

The gun you refer to accurately as an early one should have caused SIG to remodel designate the later version. They are very different.
